She seems to have been on these drugs since she was about 12, and Kamala Harris has been her stepmother since 2014. I would assume she has had access all her life to the very best medical care, and yet look at her. She seems lost, trapped inside of a drug experience that she never competently chose for herself and unable to test what lies on the other side of a disturbing withdrawal experience. She responds to commenters who push her to give up the drugs with lines like "y'all… I will not be getting off my meds."

What I can’t understand is how she has stayed so young after posing for that ‘American Gothic’ painting. Shades of Dorian Grey?
Time for mamala to step up.
She = yuck.
Just sayin’.
Don’t know much about these drugs, but if they’re supposed to help you not look and act like a nut you’d think her dad and stepmom would have suspected a long time ago that the drugs aren’t working
Imagine having Kamala as your stepmother. That fact alone would drive you to seek psychiatric treatment.
Her father screwed the babysitter who was hired to take care of her, and knocked her up..yeah I think that would cause irreparable mental harm to her
Well, can you blame her. Imagine if that was your step mom...
SSRIs are the current big pharma hook. The amount of women on them, especially young ones skyrockted a decade or so ago. Liberals who once thought big pharma was a problem, seem to be ok with it.
I can immediately spot people who are on SSRIs. There is something about their eyes that give it away. Before I retired I could easily spot the student who was going to be trouble for the entire 3 years. It never failed that they were on psych drugs and had been for years. For many, I believe part of their original problem was that they had never been told “no”. Instead parents or school officials just drugged them for life.
From your chart, I can’t imagine how high the rate must be for women in the 18 to 35 age sub-bracket.
Many elderly dementia patients use these.
Big time.
And there is a new, large study that shows great difficulty in sexual arousal, activity and fertility for long-term SSRI users.
I am bi poler and was on SSRI for 20 years 2013 I moved and had difficulty getting prescribed my psychiatric medication. this was before the effort to have universal health care. I accidentally went off the meds being prescribed for me. and actually, had my mental health improve. I am still bi-polar but instead of medicine I treat my depression and my manic highs with a strategy of isolation during manic highs and when depressed forced interaction with people. over the years of doing this I found myself getting better to the point that what depression I have is not crimpling and I am not having mania that causes me to behave inappropriately. I still get the extreme hypo mania “extreme joy for no real reason” so the Bipolar has not totally gone away but the combination of isolation and forcing myself to be social during depression I have gotten better. I know this would not work for all but I feel that the SSRI would of eventually destroyed me...
You have a lot of strength.
Pretty sure most liberals are on either anti-depressants OR anti-psychotics
The Prozac nation has grown in 40 years.
