“I think that was 45 seconds — that took me two years of my life.”

Kash Patel just summed up in 45 seconds what took him TWO YEARS of his life to prove about the Deep State’s illegal spying operation on President Trump.

PATEL: “Remember this, it took me two years of my life to prove the following…”

“That a political party in the United States of America in the 21st century would go overseas and hire some bogus intelligence asset to manufacture fraudulent, fake, unverified information…”

“Funnel that to, not just the intelligence community, but the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and then take those packaged lies that they had paid for with campaign finance funds and go into a secret surveillance court and illegally spy on your opponent to be the next president of the United States.”

“I think that was 45 seconds — that took me two years of my life.”

“And what did we find out? The FISA court themselves came back and said these warrants were illegal,”

May 5, 2026

TRANSCRIPT CONTINUES~~~

Kash Patel: ...that the FBI did not provide evidence of exculpatory evidence and innocence, and that the FBI essentially lied in those applications, and all the information was unverified. So that was was step one.

But I knew that it didn't stop there. I knew in the four years that we were out of office, that they continued to regenerate that institution of weaponization. So when I walked int he door I said, we only got a bit of it. We only got maybe half of it.

Because what did we learn in those four years, right? That I was illegally spied on by the likes of Rod Rosenstein ...

Hannity: Me too.

Kash Patel: ..and Chris Wray. And you and ten other staffers on the Hill, and people who were elected to serve this country in the halls of Congress.

They were actually continuing the weaponization that Donald Trump and I exposed during Trump one. And we caught them.

So I knew walking in the door, the following: These individuals, these purported leaders of law enforcement and government are so arrogant that they write this stuff down themselves to memorialize how great they are.

That's how we caught them in RussiaGate. It wasn't my documents; it was their emails. It was their FISA application. It was their bogus Steele dossier. It was their unverified reporting that was documented in FBI holdings that we put out and you cover. So I knew there were other places that that information was hidden. So Day 1, I set out to find it.

I never said anything about giving anybody the idea that I know how to run an FBI investigation.

You made that up. Times a wastin’. Make the charges happen.

“Do you crybabies on this thread think Director Patel would spend all this time and effort without arresting anyone?”

Yes, he would.

I can’t speak for all my fellow crybabies, but, IMO, if Patel knows that he has accusations and theories but almost no evidence, he might well decide that making public statements like this is the best he can do.

If he goes to court without a case, the defendant gets acquitted. Then Patel’s target comes out smelling like a rose.

“…and go into a secret surveillance court and illegally spy on your opponent…”

There’s also the matter of that FISA judges who didn’t bark, to paraphrase from Sherlock Holmes.

Yes I do. Bondi clearly wasted time!

We need this going before the election! And typically you arrest lower level people and get them to flip. At this pace he’ll need his entire 10 year appointment to wrap this up.

**************************

I wish I had dollar for every time I read on a democrat website, that Merrick Garland was going to prosecute Trump or wasn’t up to the job of prosecuting Trump.

Then he appointed Smith and Jack couldn’t get Trump anymore than Garland could.

Freepers expecting jail time for the political shows the Establishment of the United States provides us, will continue to be very disappointed.

“I never said anything about giving anybody the idea that I know how to run an FBI investigation”

Then how is it you have a timeline of when things should happen?

Why does your brain tell you the Comey investigation was a waste of time?

Or the investigation into the SPLC?

You’re staking your credibility on the claim that Patel has no evidence.

I think you don’t know what’s happening.

“typically you arrest lower level people and get them to flip”

The gangbangers and drug lords who’ve been arrested are the lower level people.

Not to mention Maduro.

(Who’s now singing like Whitney Houston.)

“You’re staking your credibility on the claim that Patel has no evidence.”

Actually, no.

The argument I was answering was the implication that Patel wouldn’t make a statement like the one in the OP unless he had good evidence. What I wrote was that “IMO, if Patel knows that he has accusations and theories but almost no evidence, he might well decide that making public statements like this is the best he can do.”

Note that word “if”. My point is that if he has evidence, he would make a statement like this, to prepare the ground; but if he DOESN’T have evidence, then he would still make a statement like this, to besmirch people he thought were guilty but whom he couldn’t prove were guilty.

In other words, his statement tells us nothing about what’s in the evidence folder.

We do have the additional information that we’re well into the second year of the administration. What we’ve seen so far is a charge against Comey, alleging perjury on one minor point (not who did what, but whether Comey authorized anyone in the FBI to talk to the press). And even that one case was tossed. The latest indictment of Comey, about the alleged seashell threat in May 2025, doesn’t concern anything he did while in office, and doesn’t have anything to do with spying on Trump.

So, I admit I don’t know what’s in Patel’s evidence box. The circumstances suggest, however, that there’s no smoking gun.

If there’s not a significant amount of evidence, then why did the investigation take 9-11 months?

“if he DOESN’T have evidence, then he would still make a statement like this, to besmirch people he thought were guilty “

This would be very petty if Kash Patel were to do something like this. Of course, Kash Patel wouldn’t do something like this.

Why do you besmirch Kash Patel?

One likely piece of evidence is Comey’s communications to his attorneys and others.

But again, this investigation took 9-11 months.

One line of discussion between last week’s Bongino interview, and this week’s Patel interview, is that they had to essentially restructure and rebuild the top levels of the FBI, and figure out who was a disruptor and who actually did their jobs.

They didn’t find the burn bags for months after they took office.

The legal system isn’t set up to prosecute the FBI. They can be fired (and 180 FBI agents have been), but it is very difficult to prosecute.

Even worse is trying to prosecute within DC, where Biden and Obama packed the District and Appeals courts, and where a randomly selected jury is significantly more partisan than Democrat voters as a whole.
