From millionaires to overseas foreigners, from NFL players to luxury car owners, our money is going to everyone but us.
ou’d think that the recent find of 34,000 deceased North Carolinians still registered to vote would be bad enough, but Epoch Times reported 5,000 deceased people are also receiving SNAP benefits. This sounds like the plot of a B-rate horror movie: “Night of the Voting/Eating Dead.”
SNAP is the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program providing benefits to people, like food stamps. USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins stated that SNAP is one of the “most corrupt, dysfunctional programs” in U.S. history, with 80% of the people using the program being able to work. Rollins stated that 5,000 dead people were getting SNAP, while another 500,000 people were double-dipping the SNAP program, getting twice the benefits under the same name. Rollins stated that there is “massive fraud,” which has only been found in the states that have cooperated with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)—21 states refuse to hand over SNAP data. All but 2 of the 29 states working to rout out the fraud are Republican states. Democrat-states are suing the USDA, saying they do not have to share this data. Well, should these noncooperative states continue to receive this benefit? Not cooperating with solving a crime, isn’t that aiding and abetting criminal activity?
Recent data show that it’s not just 5,000 deceased people receiving SNAP benefits, but in Republican-states alone, that number totals 244,000. In the last year alone, 895 people were arrested for illegal food stamp use.
In addition, recent data show that in one state alone, 14,000 food stamp recipients are driving luxury cars. Rollins stated, “if this is happening in a red state, can you imagine what’s happening in the blue states?”

The left seems to like fraud because they are defrauding you.
There is no excuse for undetected fraud. When one dies, the funeral home notifies Social Security immediately. The notification could also be sent to all government programs with one click.
I’m not one of them. I feel like I’m being gypped.
Snap has been Cloward Priven ‘ed.
And it piles on...
Amazon gives you half price on prime if you get snap.
Where else is this fraud rewarded?
Seniors alone get no break from amazon
Actually at this point I might support just ending ALL federal aid programs and simply give everyone $20,000 a year instead.
It might save us trillions.
Should have to apply every year or after you do your taxes to see if you’re eligible
Earlier this week I was grocery shopping, and at self check out, another woman started ringing her stuff up. She was talking pretty loudly. So at one point I turned to look at her, and she looked at me, and “I can’t believe they’re making me use my own money to pay for all this stuff!”
So I guess DOGE must’ve rooted her out or something. Or maybe her SNAP stopped including junk food.
Either way, I’ve always paid for my own groceries, every bit. Welcome to the real world, honey!
If one thinks about it there is no incentive for bureaucrats who oversee these programs to administer them responsibly. The bigger the demands for the benefits means bigger budgets, increase in personnel, more opportunities for advancement, fraudulent benefits for themselves with virtually no negative consequences. Is it any wonder things have gotten as bad as they are?
SNAP was never intended to help people who need it.
It was designed to subsidize Walmart, Target and the major grocery store chains.
That’s why nobody cared about all the waste, fraud and abuse.
No excuse, but there are reasons.
Not legitimate reasons, of course, but that’s why they call it fraud.
Can’t know they’re dead if you don’t ever look to find out.
**When one dies, the funeral home notifies Social Security immediately. The notification could also be sent to all government programs with one click.**
Send a volunteer or employee to the funeral to help verify the details.
I think the grocery store chains encourage the government to have programs like SNAPper.
Immigrants once came here to work. Now they show up with their hand out, and have the intention of remaining that way forever. Get housing, cell phone, and EBT card all just for showing up and voting democrat.
Typical government work.
If it’s a government program, it’s rife with fraud and mismanagement.
Count on it.
For those reasons alone, most, if not all, government programs should be completely abolished.
Anyone who works is being played, we are paying for this and it’s on purpose. The rich don’t care, keeps the ferals from stealing from them, of course the parasites are happy, but the middle, working class continues to pay.
“It was designed to subsidize Walmart, Target and the major grocery store chains.”
It started in the early 60s. I believe it was designed to pay black people to not riot.
“The modern version of the food stamp program was created in 1961 under President John F. Kennedy, who launched pilot programs shortly after taking office. These pilots became permanent nationwide legislation with the passage of the Food Stamp Act of 1964 under President Lyndon B. Johnson.”
Food Stamps is “broken” because it is an absolutely massive government spending program. Any massive spending program is going to have fraud in it. Obama expanded it so that middle class people would be eligible for Food Stamps and Trump never really cut that back. Obama’s goal was to get the middle class hooked on government handouts and it worked. The way to “fix” Food Stamps (assuming we aren’t getting rid of it) would be to get back to the point where only the truly poor were eligible and then only on temporary basis unless they were elderly or disabled.
“give everyone $20,000 a year instead”
Needs vary over time.
