One of the potential military options that Trump will reportedly be considering is a “short and powerful” wave of airstrikes…

Of course any new attack by the U.S. will likely provoke a very strong response from the Iranians.

In fact, one Iranian official is pledging that there would be “long and painful strikes” in retaliation…

And there is a whole lot of them. Anyone who thought this bunch was going to go down easy was fooling themselves. They are weakened for sure, but I imagine they have a few lethal surprises tucked in their sleeves yet to be revealed.

I hate to consider what those surprises could be.

I thought this action was going to be over in a few days, and that the Ukraine/Russia was going to be over by now as well, prices on good and services would generally be down and my 401K and investments would be running hot.

It just goes to show that no plan survives intact after contact with the enemy. Maybe things will turn around later this year or next.

No evidence of that in the current conflict. They aint causing any sh**. Only what if's scenarios which are great for reading and discussion but doesn't change the reality of the situation.

It takes more than a missile strike to SINK a modern CVN.

I can't believe you put that out into the universe! There are rules you know...1. Never talk about a streak and 2. Never speak in absolutes about battle and war.

Fully Agreed. Enriching our avowed enemies is not sound policy.

According to the Bible, and this is something which is never spoken of, the region of Persia/Iran is controlled, watched over ,by an incredibly powerful angel known as “The Prince of Persia.”. From the Bible, the Prince was able to fight the combined armies of Gabriel and the archangel Michael. He is no slouch. He is the one we are fighting. It will not be two weeks, I’ll tell you that.

It was 3 weeks for Gabriel /Michael-/

Daniel 10:13 (NKJV): “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me...”

will we turn on them next..

Reminds me of the pre-Nixon Vietnam war days. To fight that war, we needed to bomb Hanoi, but to do so, the RATs feared, would start a war with the chinks.

Longstanding US policy is: The price of a CVN is nuclear war.

Reportedly during the recent 1.5-hour phone conversation between Trump and Putin, Putin hinted that, if hostilities are resumed, Iran will have a few nasty surprises up its sleeve. And Iran has been receiving huge shipments from China and Russia. Should be interesting.

No. If the Chinese really did send the Iranians 50 anti ship missiles, just tell Taiwan we will sell them 50 of our anti ship missiles. Make sure China hears about it too.

Which ports? I have read they may try to railroad oil to China, but it’s complicated.

Quoting the bible does not change the reality. Iran in is no position to defeat the US, if that is your wish.

It’s foolish to ignore the efficiency of the crazy muslims, these particular ones are pretty bright. Iranians are not low-IQ people. They’re bright. AND, behind the scenes is an incredibly powerful invisible psycho who is even more intelligent.

Fight them? We have no choice, we are already fighting them, but underestimate them? That would be foolish.

Ukrainians who have been tormented by Iranian drones might happily repay Iran in kind.

Ukrainians know how to attack oil refineries and oil loading facilities.

King Charles would like Trump to help Ukraine, and we know how Trump can be motivated to help Ukraine.

How did the get them….the article states they haven’t arrived:

“The deal for the Chinese‑made CM‑302 missiles is near completion, though no delivery date has been agreed, the people said.”

Is it? If the Iranians actually sank a carrier, I’m guessing their oil industry would cease to exist. Meaning there would be no Iranian oil for decades. Does China really want that?
