The first time I heard the song, it was watching Camelot with my tenth grade English class. I had severe allergies that day and somehow seeing all those flowers and pollen in that scene made it worse. Since then I’ve never been able to watch the scene and not feel hay fever coming on, LOL

May Day here is starting out nice, but I remember back when I was in the military serving in Japan, it was not. We restricted to base on May 1 as it was so close to Red China; there was the possibility(we were told) of many Chinese Communists in the village. No problems that I remembered & I didn’t need to go into town every day anyway.

When I was a young kid a LONG time ago, we used to make up little “May baskets”; little decorated baskets filled w/candy as I recall, and exchanged them with other kids on that day.
