The first time I heard the song, it was watching Camelot with my tenth grade English class. I had severe allergies that day and somehow seeing all those flowers and pollen in that scene made it worse. Since then I’ve never been able to watch the scene and not feel hay fever coming on, LOL
Wait! Now? Now is the month of Maying?
She makes Jane Fonda look tame.
Here in Green Bay, we woke up this May 1st to snow.
Va has had below average temps since November. This morning it was 37 Deg F !! Longest winter ever.
May 1.....
I’m 84 today

Happy Birthday!! :-)
May Day here is starting out nice, but I remember back when I was in the military serving in Japan, it was not. We restricted to base on May 1 as it was so close to Red China; there was the possibility(we were told) of many Chinese Communists in the village. No problems that I remembered & I didn’t need to go into town every day anyway.
When I was a young kid a LONG time ago, we used to make up little “May baskets”; little decorated baskets filled w/candy as I recall, and exchanged them with other kids on that day.
Well, after all the previous night's Walpurgis Nacht shenanigans, you kind of have to do some atonement.
In the Midwest States there are Maypole celebrations.
Toledo, Ohio: The German American Festival in Oak Shade Grove showcases a 63-foot-tall permanent, decorated maypole, reconstructed in 2015.
Chicago, Illinois: The Lincoln Square Maifest features a traditional Maypole raising ceremony to kick off the festivities.
Frankenmuth, Michigan: The Bavarian Festival includes a dedicated, traditional maypole ceremony, often taking place in June.
