No, the Poles need to do this on their own.
Poland is not Latvia - it is large enough to stand up on its own and should not be reliant on outside aid - that failed in 1805, that failed in 1939.

Yes, and no. The borders of the Second Republic were essentially formalized by the Treaty of Riga to contain much of Western Ukraine, Western Belarus, and the Polish speaking part of Lithuania, where the people considered themselves Polish speaking Lithuanians, like Pilsudski. These borders were disdained by Pilsudski who wanted to recreate the old Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth to now include Ukraine, as he wanted to create a state that would be big enough to withstand the revanchist ambitions of Poland's neighbors. Rather than create such a larger confederation, Poland relied on security guarantees from France in particular which proved worthless in 1939. When Lech Walesa became Poland's president in 1990, he attempted to pursue a strategy of building stronger ties with Belarus and Ukraine to counter Russian revanchism. That policy remains Poland's policy today. It must have a strong military for that to work, as it is the dominant state of the group economically.
