“Well, they’re back. This time about a picture of seashells on a North Carolina Beach a year ago, and this won’t be the end of it. But nothing has changed with me. I’m still innocent, I’m still not afraid, and I still believe in the independent federal judiciary. So let’s go,” Comey said in a clip posted to Substack.
“But it’s really important that all of us remember this is not who we are as a country. This is not how the Department of Justice is supposed to be. And the good news is we get closer every day to restoring those values. Keep the faith you,” he added.

Why is the DOJ focused upon these minor issues compared to Comey’s certification of the FISA warrants under penalty of perjury?Because we strain at gnats and swallow camels. FISA warrants are beyond the average person's pay grade, but they can readily understand the threat meant by 8647.

“this is not who we are as a country”
Obama invented this phrase. He used it and variations of it very often. I think he meant that good Americans should never oppose communism. Then on his last day in office he instigated a lawfare jihad against Trump.
Eat it Comey! Obama put you on the spot sucker.

Maybe the same reason they got Capone on tax charges The important part is not "getting him," it's exposing what he did as fact.

Add “teaching moment” “speaking my truth” and “guns are killing our kids” to this rapidly expanding liberal trope of bovine excrement.

There’s a weird thing in politics relating to old, tall, white men. If you’re 6’6” with an IQ of 90, your career is guaranteed.

The central organizing argument of M. Scott Peck’s book “People of the Lie” is that evil people cannot bear the pain of genuine self-examination or the acceptance of responsibility for their “crimes,” so they project them onto others, particularly those who threaten to expose them.

He helped to push a totally BS and blatantly obvious claim of collusion to overthrow a duly elected President.
THAT is not who we are as a country!!!

Why is the DOJ focused upon these minor issues compared to Comey’s certification of the FISA warrants under penalty of perjury? This might be a place holder event and DOJ is letting Comey know it...

Because the Democrat-Socialist party has inserted its Leftist Tools in the Judicial System, especially the District of Columbia, in order to prevent any honest law based outcome that does not benefit its side.
Perhaps this will provide support for assertion of a "Continuing Criminal Enterprise" that extends the statue and allows re-examination of this the perjury associated with the FISAs declarations, that, and a more favorable jurisdiction in which to file a criminal case.

Off to prison for RINO James Comey, hopefully

...and the best that can be done is indict him for some seashells? Your dismissive description of this Comey incident is that he did something with "some seashells"?
That's like Ilhan Omar saying "some people did something" to describe 911.
More specifically Comey used (seashells and)a term with double meaning to advocate what people should do to Trump. One of those meanings is clearly threatening.
