A New Jersey news outlet accused rock legend Bruce Springsteen of hypocritically profiteering off of an expensive anti-Trump concert in his own home state while still portraying himself as a "populist" rocker.
NJ.com published a piece on Tuesday, "Springsteen’s N.J. concert was poisoned by hypocrisy. Anti-Trump final act is a tragic mistake."

Brubeck’s drummer, the amazing Joe Morello was also my son’s drum teacher’s teacher. I didn’t know until recently that he also played with Gary Burton, another of my favorite jazz musicians. Incredible vibes with Morello on drums, going to have to check that out.

I wonder though, if NJ (and the Northeast in general) is in trouble for having replaced production with paperwork jobs that AI could do much more cheaply.

I’m originally from the Edison/Metuchen/Fords area during the 50’s and 60’s. I remember seeing the light on the top of the monument from miles away. I was in the museum there once it was very interesting. Later I found out how he stole ideas from Tesla. What a scumbag.

At the time I was taking lessons in the early ‘80’s with Joe he was giving them from a Dorn & Kirschner music store in Union.
Prior to taking lessons I was just making noise.
Joe Morello taught me how to play the drums. I’m left handed. He got a kick out of that.
You went to the same place around the same time as my son’s teacher. Damned if I can remember his name. I recently saw a video of Ginger Baker and Art Blakey in a drum battle on Youtube. Baker impressed me he was even better than I thought. Blakey always impressed me, the dude was amazing. So many great drummers. I saw Billy Cobham with George Duke, Alphonso Johnson, & John Scofield at Carnegie Hall. Cobham was like an octopus, it seemed like someone with about 8 arms hitting the cans.
Lucky you. Billy Cobham was fantastic. I didn’t care much for his ego but Gene Krupa and of course Buddy Rich. Bobby Troup, the actor was a drummer too.
I came to the drums a bit late after first trying to conquer the coronet. Oh my God was that horrendous!
That style is marketed to senjors to keep them from falling down. Not kidding.
Springsteen is a meathead.
