Electric light, the phonograph and the movies all came out of Edison’s lab in New Jersey.
I wonder though, if NJ (and the Northeast in general) is in trouble for having replaced production with paperwork jobs that AI could do much more cheaply.

But over the years there’s been accounts of how either Edison stole or just over shadowed a lot of the work of Nicolas Tesla.
