We pay $1.80 in gas tax alone here in Commiefornia which will make it hard for the national average to get to 3 dollars but plenty of individual states will see 3 dollar gas.
Can someone explain to me why it affected US gas prices at all?
We import no oil from Iran, it all goes to China, Japan, India, and South Korea. So I can see THEM paying more but why us?
I understand supply and demand but there is just as much supply as there ever was, and the war hasn’t diminished the number of refineries or the cost to operate them. Why cant OUR refineries continue to turn OUR oil into gasoline and if the situation in Iran raises the cost for those countries that depend on it, that’s their problem and they should pay more.
Maybe he’s next to go.

If you look at his actual comments, he is not that much in disagreement with, let alone contradicting, President Trump. Sounds like a lot of pot stirring by the media. The guesstimate of when the price of gas going doing isn’t official policy, it’s anybody’s educated guess at this point. Only time will tell. It’s already gone down a few cent’s where I’m at.
Trump is wrong. Earliest we see $3 gas again is October, maybe late September....maybe never.
