Earth is either the galactic equivalent of Somalia, or the inner chicago hoods.

And we are shocked any supposed aliens don’t come here.
Probably get space aids or Brainrot from us....

You’re right, but those here on FR who have Ostrich Syndrome can only ignore the consequences for so long. There’s gonna be a whole lotta gnashing of teeth if political power in Congress shifts substantially in November. Blame will be placed everywhere else BUT on Trump and Neo-Cons who precipitated this !@#$-show.

I never thought I would find the hero worship that I've come across here.

If the guy reverses his positions once he's in office, then he has to be called out on it.

i am against new wars as a general rule but i 100000% approve of the war in Iran.

At least acknowledge that for any neutral observer, DJT the President has done a 180 from DJT the Campaigner, and that millions of Americans have every reason to feel betrayed by the man, even if you don't.

You’re correct.

From AI:

Sam Adams delivered this famous, fiery quote during a speech in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1776. As a delegate to the Continental Congress, Adams spoke these words to castigate colonists, specifically targeting the political elite and those who favored remaining with the British Crown over American independence.

“Anything short of removing the mullahs will be a failure. They will just regroup in the next Rat Administration.”

I don’t remember a pronouncement by the administration that regime change was the goal of this effort. Are you moving the goalposts?
An Iran without nukes is the indicator of victory here.

So you really think Iran won’t get it all back in due course?

They will try. Israel will be all over that.

Good morning again.
Alberta’s Child, I apologize profusely for putting words in your mouth about putting words in someone else’s mouth.
We may be both correct, as it were, but I could have gone and seen that myself before posting. It was a bit early on a late night, but I should have done the research necessary before posting. It’s the sort of thing that gets me ever since hearing Glenn Beck and others insert or copy over people in real time.
Thanks, Fury.
I guess maybe he or someone recognized that was not a good thing to say and hoped that fixed it.
Not a fan of FISA as it exists - it’s not abuse and illegal use that’s the problem, it’s a plain violation of several amendments and even court decisions. Get a real warrant.
What I get for breaking long time of not logging in, I guess. I should go back to lurking... mostly people say what I would have anyhow.
Have a good day

Amazing how context clears it up. I ignore the pick apart knee jerkers.

Good post.

I’d suggest not lurking. You saw one of the two posts. I did the same.

President Trump’s comment:

“…I am willing to risk the giving up of my Rights and Privileges as a Citizen for our Great Military and Country!”

frames the issue as an either/or choice. It’s not.

i will admit only that he has instigated more military action than i expected. i will also admit he has wars closer to home that he should be fighting and is not (i.e. the people that are going to put him in prison when he gets out of office)

im a veteran and i think i have a pretty good grasp of the implications of military action from lots of angles. his job is to know when it is necessary and to take action when it is necessary. it is also to know when it is not necessary. it would be ridiculously unrealistic to expect anyone in his position to have zero military action. the world doesnt work that way.

i think he is doing a good job so far in this regard. its a free country, you can feel 'betrayed' if you want to, but i'd suggest feeling betrayed over still being involved in the ukrainian money pit rather than removing scumbags from iran

I think there are "MAGA" people here on FR who simply don't care.

Or they know the alternatives are people like Barack Obama, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg, Hillary Clinton, Amy Klobuchar, Joe Biden, or Kamala Harris. Until he approaches their level of thoughts and behaviors, he's still the go-to guy.

They don't want to hear complaints about President Trump without being presented a better man in the role.

JD Vance could be which is why the Republicans are going to freeze him out.

I concede that between DJT and any Democrat, DJT is the "go-to" guy.

But that isn't the hero worship I see here. Anyone who calls out DJT on a flip-flop is told to go back to DU.

I think the overwhelming amount of evidence points in the direction that the entire government of the "greatest country in the world" is completely compromised. And if an outsider like DJT (whose bluntness during his campaigns was arguably his strongest asset) can get into office and then reverse course on some of the most important topics which got him into office, then let's at least have the integrity to say, "Okay, he either lied to our faces or he is as compromised as almost everyone else in the three branches of government. I still would have voted for him, but I won't be his cheerleader anymore."

Most of those are paid shills. It's what they get paid to do.

Notice which flip-flops they defend the most.

All governments are compromised. The difference here is that people can point out specifics, and try to mitigate the worst parts of it. That said, not one Epstein client in the U.S. government has faced charges.
