According to a Greek Reporter article, archaeologists led by Panayiota Galiatsatou of Greece's Ephorate of Underwater Antiquities have investigated a submerged harbor complex off the eastern coast of the Peloponnese. The platform had been built in shallow water in order to take advantage of the natural harbor and nearby defensive hill. Pottery recovered from within the platform suggests that it dates to the Roman period. This year, the research team examined structures that had been built on top of the platform. These features have roughly square shapes and are made of stones. The team members now think that the stones once filled wooden caissons that acted as pier foundations. The caissons are thought to have been a later addition to the original structure, after rising sea levels caused it to sink below the surface. The Giants of Catalina Island | Prehistoric Mysteries on California’s Channel Islands
Video at link above. 3,781 giant skeletons found on Catalina island
new documentary exploring the mysteries of Santa Catalina Island. The islands have turned up hundreds of controversial discoveries; not only giant skeletons, but a prehistoric stone circle, incredibly ancient carbon dating and evidence of historic red and blond-haired islanders. Thousands of giant skeletons, artifacts, and evidence of occupation going back as far as 9,000 years have been scientifically recorded on the Islands, with human occupation possibly dating as far back as 30,000 years ago. The story is intriguing and controversial, and it stars amateur archaeologist Ralph Glidden and his bizarre museum on Catalina Island, but a few years before that, a German Naturalist got the story going in 1913. Dr. A. W. Furstenan unearthed an 8 foot skeleton with artifacts such as mortar and pestles and arrow heads on Catalina. He was told of a legend while in Mexico of a giant and noble race that lived on the Island that existed long before the white man and had since vanished. The film features Hugh Newman and Jim Vieira, authors of ‘Giants On Record’, ancient symbolism researcher Jj Ainsworth and Native American islander Mason Sanchez Lassos, member of the Tongva Gabrielino Tribe.
🤔 Would that be indicative of massive sea level rise. Stoopid ancient SUVs. 😊👍
Seismic events.
Clarified, thanks. We had a 5.7 a couple days ago east of Reno. We didn’t sink. 😊👍
If Reno gets close enough to the Pacific for that to happen, we’ve all got bigger problems. 😊
Yup!
