Faced with a mounting backlash against a Turning Point USA rally to be held on campus, Baylor University administrators have granted a coalition of student groups permission to hold a counter-event on campus with two well-known gay Christians as speakers.
This is believed to be the first time Baylor has allowed an openly gay Christian advocacy speaker on campus for such an event.
Whether related or not, the university also announced April 7 that Willie Nelson will appear in concert on campus in May. The country singer reportedly has not been on campus since he left there as a student in 1954.
The “All Are Neighbors” event will be held on campus April 22, the same day as the TPUSA “This Is the Turning Point” tour on campus in Waco Hall, the largest auditorium on campus. No information is yet available on where the “All Are Neighbors” event will be held.

It’s an oxymoron. You can be gay or Christian. Not both.
They sold their souls for athletic success. Raping football players, and tranny basketball players.
This hurts personally because it was the first college I attended back in the early 80’s. It was a very devout university then, and I met a lot of deeply committed Christians while there.
Homos are coming to Baylor. And so is Willie Nelson.
At least the chances of getting high will be better when Willie comes.
Baylor $15M in NLI money and that’s minuscule for Texas.
Leviticus is kinda clear on this topic.
A little leaven spoils the whole loaf.
As recently as the 80s, males couldn’t be in girls dorms except for a few hours on football game day, the door had to be open and feet on the floor.
Faggotry was right out. Chapel was mandatory.
TPUSA has had a lot of flack stacked against it by false-flag antagonist podcasters.
I don’t believe the bs that came out against Erica.
Is there any such thing as a gay Christain?
Oh, I remember the rules. There were even curfews for the dorms. And I can’t remember males EVER being allowed in female living quarters, only the common areas.
“Chapel” is still mandatory, at least for the first 2 year, and was changed to “forum” when I was attending. It was more of a speaking venue for guest speakers, after singing a few hymns and praying.
I wouldn’t call that an historic first; I’d call it indicative of a highway to Hell.
NO! This is a good medical university.
They developed GlyNAC and some other cheap therapies.
“This is believed to be the first time Baylor has allowed an openly gay Christian advocacy speaker on campus for such an event.” Why the hell is this important to a college?
Being gay is a sin. Do Christians sin? You better believe it. If a person has homosexual desires, but refuses to give in to them, then what? The devil tempts each person differently. I heard an evangelist preach many decades ago. He had been a homosexual, and had gotten saved. He was delivered from homosexual desires, went on to get married, but had zero heterosexual desire. He loved his wife, and prayed that the Lord would give him normal desires. Then one day, after a few years, the the Lord did just that. The Christian life is a struggle. And struggling Christians sure don’t need their sins to be affirmed, especially by a school that calls itself Christian.
Will Baylor allow space for people to advocate adultery and fornication as well? Perhaps they can commission a statue of a golden calf to show how balanced thy are.
