A halal butcher sells – in theory – halal meat, that is to say, meat permitted by Islamic law and therefore, a fortiori, not pork.
This Zurich butcher doesn't seem to share that opinion. In three years, he allegedly sold 3.1 tons of pork, passing it off as veal , according to the Swiss version of 20 Minutes , which broke the story. The deception is twofold.
Scam
On the one hand, the religious men who bought their meat from his shop unwittingly broke their tradition . On the other hand, the butcher made significant profits since pork is much cheaper than veal on the meat market.
The operation ended badly for the butcher: inspected by an official, the deception was immediately discovered. The Zurich resident was fined 18,000 Swiss francs (approximately 15,000 euros) "for fraud and false statements," according to the indictment...

“ I saw Trump walk onto a debate stage, and before the debate began, I could see him quite clearly taking the oath of office with a woman in a white coat near him. That turned out to be Ivanka.”
I don’t care who you are. That was funny.😄
“One is the fact that early mosques didn’t face Mecca as they universally do, now. Many actually face Petra”
He really porked ‘ em! Badabing!
Agree!
What a swine.
Lying for the sake of peace, for the sake of some overarching cause, such as saving lives, gaining victory in a war, those are permissible.
Lying to get more profit while violating others’ cherished beliefs, however, is a big no-no, even if that belief is Islam. So is claiming you’re a moderate while really you’re a meat puppet for leftard oligarchs, or calling an obviously senile man “sharp as a tack,” is even bigger.
You don’t know the half of it. The price of telling the truth.

“I stopped eating poek when I learned that pigs have higher IQs than dogs.”
Pigs wouldn’t think twice about eating you or me if they had the chance. I have no problem returning the favor.
From Wikipedia:
“The most common technical definition used by Muslim astronomers for a location is the direction on the great circle—in the Earth’s Sphere—passing through the location and the Kaaba.”
If only this was all they did that was bit odd or problematic.
That was my thought exactly. Turn about is fair play, especially when it comes to these deviants (I can’t even call them animals, since animals —especially pigs and dogs— are wonderous, loveable, smart creatures.
All’s fair in love and war, as they say.
The Mecca direction on the great circle is a quite modern standard, evidenced by the fact Muslims didn’t build their mosques in North America (USA and Canada) NorthEast facing (according the great circle) but SouthEast facing (according to the flatearth Mercatur projection), meaning an “error” of nearly 90°!
So when Wokepedia imply that “Muslim astronomers” (who, when, where???) follow the great circle practice for the direction of Mecca, it’s a sneaky revisionnist lie.
Wokepedia is not a reliable source. It’s ALWAYS lying or telling half truth when addressing anything astray from the mainstream narrative.
I would be really surprised a mosque built today was not facing the great circle direction. As I said, if this was the only issue we had with them, the world would be a much better place. Getting fixated on stupid stuff like this is not helping.
