As Australia wakes up to the Iran War reality we still need fossil fuel, King Charles chooses now to push his climate obsession.
The letter from King Charles; ... Bad timing Charlie. Greens have been noticeably pulling back their usual Net Zero rhetoric in the last few weeks, in the face of Aussie fury at wholly inadequate preparation for Iran war fuel shortages. People are asking questions like whether political Net Zero obsession led to our refineries being closed, forcing our green Prime Minister to try to defend his non-existent record of keeping refineries open.
The obvious question, will the King’s crass insensitivity renew calls for an Australian Republic?
Even if there is another referendum, I doubt it will succeed. The holdup is not love for the monarchy, the problem is the selfishness of our politicians. The issue which caused the last referendum on becoming a republic in 1999 to fail is the unpopular new constitution proposed by the government of the day.
The Aussie people wanted a US Presidential style republic with a directly elected president acting as defender of the constitution, but what we were offered was a weak puppet president, with the office of Prime Minister becoming all powerful.
The one function the monarchy still performs in Australia is defender of the constitution. In 1975 the far left Whitlam government was dismissed using rarely exercised royal powers, after it flirted with outright communism and seizure of private property.
The form of republic Aussies were offered in 1999 would have removed the threat of dismissal for politicians who blatantly violate the constitution.

Those four British men are as British as I’m a Vulcan!!
Now we know why no Easter message to Christians. He was eorking on self-immolation project.
The key purpose of the letter is obviously not the flowery and insincere language expressing some form of sympathy for the people who have lost their lives or whose homes and livelihood have been destroyed. It is contained in the key paragraph which is consistent with much of Charles's writing for the past 20 or 30 years.
The climate change paragraph functions as the letter's thesis statement — it's the one sentence that encapsulates what Charles most wants the reader to take away as a broader message beyond the any form of sympathy for Territorians.
“The increasingly catastrophic effects of climate change are surely a siren-call to the world for more urgent action, not only to address the root causes of our changing climate, but also to restore and revive the inherent resilience of Nature, and to live in Harmony with her through Nature-based solutions.”
The rest of the letter is nothing but fluff as far as Charles is concerned and anyone who is familiar with his writings over the past 20 or 30 years is well aware that he tries to weave this same message into just about every document that his feeble mind creates. He has a long history of lecturing people about “climate change” so this nothing new or out of character for him. He simply cannot help himself at this point in his life. So no, the title is not rage bait, and yes, it accurately characterizes what Charles harps on about on a daily if not hourly basis.
😀😃🤣🤣
OK, Charlie, you should visit your loyal subjects post haste. A sailing ship could make it in, say, 18 months or so.
That king was always a ‘tard. No better than previous Pope.
Time for high tea, Charles.
that fool tries to conflate interior continental flooding that has been predictable and regular as clockwork for hundreds of years with “climate change” ... does anyone who lives in Australia buy that bullshit?
But he did raise him (probably not—Charles was raised by nannies).
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I was unfavorably impressed at how pedestrian and formulaic Charles’ style of writing is. One would expect that with the quality of his education he would do better. For instance, look at how he begins each of his paragraphs. With the first he begins by writing that he is “profoundly” blah, blah, blah. In the next paragraph, he begins with exactly the same expression, only he uses the Germanic root word “deeply” instead of the Latin rooted “profoundly”, as if no one might notice.
OK, you OZians —
Quit breathing, quit all life functions, dig a hole to bury youurself so deep that your decaying body emits no offensive vapors.
Oops. Your decaying body may make fossel fuel! EEK!!
king charles the turd
Those mattresses he calls ears need to flap more intensely to cool what little may reside between them.
Drought... Global warming. Deluge... Global warming. Too cold. Global warming. Too hot. Global warming.
Why doesn’t he go out with a bucket and extinguish the Burning Mountain coal fire if he is so concerned.
Don’t think they wanted a TED talk from you, Chuck.
😃😀😂🤣🤣
Charles, if you took all sources of CO2 in the UK (including bowel gas, man and animal), it would probably be 1% of the total earth’s CO2. It’s like pissing in the English Channel and expecting a massive rise in sea level. Elimination of UK’s contribution is a drop in the bucket.
I think King Charles is way past his expiration date.
The R actually stands for “Rex” - Latin for “king”. That’s how the Brits roll - applying a dead language to a dead monarchy…
