Didn’t his dad, the Shah, rule with somewhat of an iron fist. France gave the Ayatolah a place to hang out till the Shah was ousted. Trump is right about Pahlavi. He isn’t the man to lead a new Persia. Overall, he is weak and more concerned with preserving his wealth. Having a member of the former royal family in charge is a bad idea.
Also, the people’s military isn’t up to fighting. They never recovered from the war with Iran. But once the RG is out of the way, they do have the capability to watch over the country and keep things relatively stable.
Persia needs a messiah and none of the people standing up, waving, shouting look at me, are the ones. Maybe a general council of colleg professors, business men, returning expats, etc with a few American advisors (experts in business and efficient government) would be the best option.
