Freepers, where's gasdr? He touted the wonderfulness of the covid vaccine and defended it vociferously. He was also a welcome poster on other topics. I note he hasn't posted anything since 10/31/25 and it's worrisome.

This post is a good example of how little dissent is tolerated if some posters believe COVID-19 vaccines were not a good thing.

They would never talk that way to President Trump, who advocated for the vaccines and who himself was vaccinated.

I was not vaccinated nor got COVID-19, but each person needed to make the best choice for themselves based on several factors.

...but you still have to give the county a copy of the exemption certificate AND pay the rabies tag fee (aka the DOG TAX), so the county can get their “cut of the action”.

In MD, your dog would be headless before you could scream.

Many years ago due to a dog/rabid raccoons event, I had to get the series.

It was something like 5-7 years later that my doc had a titer run on me and I was “ still good”.

But every 3 years I HAVE to play rabies roulette with my dogs or else.

I do my best to hedge their bets with pre-vax antihistamines and only using no mercury/no mNrA vaccines

It costs a LOT more than the $5 shots offered by the spca clinics but whatever.

I don’t think medical exemptions are a thing in MD.
My ancient Portuguese Podengo Gypsy went without rabies shots for the last 7 years of her life.
She was prone to adverse reactions so I just kept her at home and never took my eyes off her when she was outside.

Sadly the neighbor feeds hordes of unvaxxed stray cats who hang out in my yard all the time, plus the inevitable raccoons who come for the food so I can’t do my other two dogs like I did with Gypsy.

As it stands, I have to run a pre-potty recon of the yard constantly to make sure no vectors are out there.

Honestly, until he mentioned whatever thing I was NOT to do, in my wildest imaginings, it would have never occurred to me to do such a thing.

And then suddenly, there was this “ that “ staring me in the face.

It’s not as bad as the other guy up the ridge who singled handedly caused a massive rabies endemic 20 years ago.

He dumped a 25 pound bag of cat food out every single day.

There were dozens of cats plus 13 cats in his shed, pregnant.

And infinite coons.

Every week at least three were spotted,shot, buried and unreported because the DNR just got tired of coming to fetch them

He eventually died, the spca declared his cats a public hazard and took them away and briefly, things settled down
But now two neighbors have picked up is dropped banner and we’re back to cats everywhere again

They’re currently stalking the returning birds who nest here every year and the squirrel babies who are just now learning how to be squirrels.

I reckon I should be glad he took the last three litters of kittens to the pound.

Ironic that if my dogs were in his yard tearing up his trash bags and killing native critters , I’d be burying my dogs really quick.

I don't believe gas_dr is a real doctor. I understand some on FR know him, but I think he allowed a young person to use his logon credentials. 

That person threatened me with their lawyer, telling me that they hoped I had a big defense budget, because I was going to need it. They believed they, an anonymous account on FR, could sue me (also anonymous) for defamation for saying they weren't a doctor. I have to believe an adult and/or a doctor would know that was utterly ridiculous and impossible.

THey routinely posted on FR throughout the day while claiming to be treating patients in a hectic Covid ward. They claimed Ivermectin didn't work in their 'ward'. I don't believe their claims they were treating patients for Covid (ordering medications) and deciding what works etc.

Gas_dr used their fake medical credentials to intimidate FReepers worried about the vax, asking whether they were really willing to 'take their chances' by not getting vaccinated as if getting a barely tested experimental vax was the 'safe' opposite of 'taking their chances.' While they advocated against Ivermectin and made false statements claiming Ivermectin didn't work, they were quick to point out they NEVER supported mandates.

In July 2021, Gas_dr  talked Terart out of trying more ivermectin (Terart had not taken enough) and to instead seek treatment with bamlamivimab and estivimab or regeneron. 

You are progressing to late stage disease. Monoclonals are effective until 10 days after initial symptoms. I have personally administered them and seen it turn around people headed for critical illness in 18 - 24 hours.

Please I beg you do not restart the ivermectin. Get targeted therapy.

But bamlamivimab had been removed from use in April, 3 months prior. Gas_dr rejected the evidence posted the drug had been removed from use due to ineffectiveness. Today, Grok confirmed that drug had already been removed in April 2021.

Ultimately, with additional encouragement of others on the thread to trust Gas_dr, and with coaching from another fake FR doctor, Terart used some of her last remaining energy to locate a service to administer the recommended infused drugs, however she was denied treatment upon arrival because her blood ox was too low. Gas_dr and and MomMD never advised terart to check her ox levels.

These fake doctors could have advised her to take more ivermectin while searching for alternatives, but that would ruin the narrative.

Terart was admitted to the hospital, where already she knew no treatment would be given based on her phone calls, where she was put on a ventilator and died 3 weeks later. She knew going in, based on phone calls, that they were not going to provide any medical treatment, but she simply ran out of energy walking around with unchecked respiratory disease.
