Lawyers for Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have been contacted about a last-minute settlement attempt before their trial, which is set for May 18.
Attorneys were reportedly told to contact US Magistrate Judge Sarah Cave on Monday, following a decision that saw most of Lively’s 13 claims against the “It Ends With Us” director dismissed on Thursday, according to the Daily Mail.
Per the outlet, the attorneys — who will speak to the judge via phone in separate sessions — will address “their client’s updated settlement position” ahead of the scheduled trial. The public won’t have access to the phone calls, which will take place on Monday at 3:00 p.m. ET for Lively’s laywers, and 4:00 pm ET for Baldoni and Wayfarer Productions’ attorneys.

Lol. On a scale of 1 to Anne Hathaway, Blake Lively is a 4 at best. I’ve never understood the attraction and why she got so much work. Maybe she has blackmail on some Directors. A run of the mill actress on a good day. Like that effing Pedro Pascal who is in everything and it’s a head scratching moment to figure out why these clowns are so ubiquitous.
I saw ‘It Ends With Us’ in the theater and plan to support Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios should they do anything - even small - in the future. I believe they collaborated with Scarlett Johansson on something before all this. Want to see that.
That doesn't sound right. I'd expect that in a mediation, but not from a judge.
Taking this case to trial would be an horrendous waste of taxpayer dollars. Blake should quit before she loses and has to pay even more legal fees.
you seem to be cowering in fear of him for some reason, I’m not.
I guess you didn’t mean Martha Raye and Ethel Merman. Ginger Rogers at age 68.
I once ran into a discussion site about Blake Lively’s cosmetic surgery procedures.
Rhinoplasty (Nose Job): Experts suggest she had her nose thinned, with a reduced bridge and a refined, lifted tip to improve facial balance.
Also a video on it.

Upper Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery): Observers note her upper eyelids appear more open, suggesting the removal of excess skin or fat to create a more refreshed, youthful look.
Non-Surgical Enhancements: Speculation exists regarding subtle fillers or Botox to maintain a youthful, glowing appearance over the years. These refinements are often described as “thoughtful” and “natural-looking,”
Why do you claim I should support the far left agenda?
Why would you support anything he does? He's really converted you to the far left agenda?
BR>I guess this guy is a genius; He's the anti-Trump. He's converted a huge swath of conservative into progressives.
I guess it's time to bet on Kamala or Gavin for 2-028.
What is gay?
Look at this thread. He has a hell of a lot of power.. Look how many Freepers he’s gotten to pursue is woke agenda? This guy should run for president in 2028.
You’ve had it out for this guy for whatever reason. He’s a softie, but not a woke-tyrant, and he leads a beautiful family with a Swedish model for a wife. There were no complaints or footage of him acting compromising in his decade plus of working in Hollywood. Can’t say the same for the other side, plus the other side has official records documenting their millions in donations to hyper-left causes.
Also I’ve been a fan of Megyn Kelly’s ever since she left Fox and charted her own course. Brian Friedman is her lawyer too and he’s the reason why the case has swayed so much in Baldoni’s favor. He’s always come off very likable to me in interviews. Whereas the publicists and team on the other side give major “ick.”
So, if he runs for president in 2028, you would be a precinct captain?
You’re no different from the Left in how you hyper-politicize everything. So you’re going to throw away all your classic rock albums and movie collective because of the political views of the artists behind them?
*collection, not collective.
And unlike some of your favorite rock artists and filmmakers, I’m sure who are WAY Left...Baldoni comes across as one of those “kumbaya” type folks that wants “everyone to get along.” He has stuff about domestic violence and healing from abuse in his public profile, nothing about electoral candidates.
Whereas the OTHER SIDE of the case has PUBLICLY voiced who they’re voting for every major presidential election.
What you are is ignorant of the conflict you’re opining about
And when wrong never admit it
I’m familiar with your posting style
And you’ve got plenty of company here
Talk out your ass and keep going
There is a sweet irony too
I’ve followed your posting style for a long time
You’re weak on culture
Can you spell Sam Francis
I doubt it
Baldoni is the product of a Catholic-Jewish mixed marriage. I don’t know anything about his personal faith journey, but he converted to Bahai. By all accounts, he is very serious about it and tries to live his faith in the very self-conscious, wear-it-on-your-sleeve way that converts often have.
He co-founded Wayfarer Studios, a production company, which was also accused in Lively’s lawsuit. The big money guy behind Wayfarer is also Bahai, and I gather that many Bahais are involved with the company. It is not a big player, but it takes on projects that are very much morally centered around themes stressed by the Bahai faith. When Lively filed her lawsuit, I got interested in the behind the curtain look at how the industry works, and specifically how it works when things go off the rails. I watched a number of interviews. Baldoni strikes me as consistent. He wants to take his work seriously as a testament to living his faith. As a company, Wayfarer seems to be the same. If Baldoni and his partners were Christian, we would be cheering for a faith based studio refusing to be rolled by Big Hollywood Powers.
I also watched portions of his podcast, which has received a lot of criticism from people who apparently have never watched it. Rather than deciding which internet graffiti you want to credit (because it feeds your pre-existing prejudices, look it up and watch a couple of samples. It doesn’t strike me as woke; it strikes me as too touchy-feely for my taste, but it’s all about men taking responsibility for their own actions, striving to be morally centered, and dealing with their own issues without blaming or lashing out at others.
Baldoni has been married since 2013 to Emily Foxler, now Emily Baldoni, a Swedish actor. He casts her in supporting roles in his movies, so fwiw, she was onset during the filming of It Ends With Us. (She was in Coherence, which a lot of freepers have watched; it’s on my list of noteworthy ultra-low budget movies.) They are married and have two kids.
As far as I know, Baldoni has always had a reputation as one of the good guys in Hollywood. I’m not trying to set him up as a plaster saint, but until Lively’s quite lurid accusations, I have never heard a hint of scandal about him.
It is clear at this point that Baldoni and Wayfarer were completely sandbagged by BL, Ryan Reynolds, and the NYT, which published a lurid hit piece in conjunction with Lively’s sexual harassment complaint and subsequent lawsuit. The NYT ran entirely with Lively’s story, worked on the piece for some time, and never at any point contacted Baldoni and his partner at Wayfarer, also named in Lively’s complaints, for their side of the story. It was a hit piece in the worst tradition of ambush journalism.
Baldoni and Wayfarer went silent while the press turned Lively into the Injured Woman Triumphant. But Baldoni and Wayfarer considered their options — this at a point at which the press thought they had been nuked — and decided to fight back. Baldoni hired a junkyard dog lawyer, and when he broke cover and opened counterfire, what ensued was one of the epic reversals in memory. Lively had made very specific and quite lurid accusations. Baldoni’s lawyer released complete email and text message chains. He released unedited footage of the scenes in question. It went on and on. However this case turns out, Lively has been destroyed in the court of public opinion.
I know most freepers neither know nor care anything about the people involved, but this is a landmark case that may go down in the history books as an expose of big Hollywwod players trying to roll a little guy, and having it blow up in their faces. It’s also worth noting that this occurred at or near Peak Woke, and #MeToo hustlers have just taken some serious hits beneath the waterline.
P.S. The BL-JB controversy has come up several times on FR. You have always been in full scorched earth mode against JB, but I don’t recall that you have ever raised a specific issue about Baldoni, apart from the generalized accuaation that he is uber woke.
Can you be specific? Have you ever watched one of his films or documentaries? Have you watched any of his interviews? Have you watched any excerpts of his Am I Man Enough podcast?
Why the animus? Did Baldoni do something to you personally, or are you just a huge Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively fan with a parasocial obsession?
