Over the past few months, there has been a rash of social media videos from nurses making absolutely atrocious comments about people with whom they disagree politically. Here’s an example, posted this past weekend.
Actually, these have been common since Pres. Trump began his second term, but they’ve really ramped up since the beginning of combat in the Gulf. This one wants all MAGA supporters to jump off bridges so that she can take pleasure in watching. Others, cutting a lot closer to the bone, have stated that they’d refuse care to MAGA supporters or, in one case, take steps during treatment to assure that wouldn’t recover. (I heard that this one was fired, but I haven’t been able to track the story down to verify that.) In other words, acting like those medical psychopaths who deliberately target patients.
The response to these vids has been surprise and shock: these young women have embarked on careers devoted to the care of the sick and helpless. Yet here they are wishing pain, misery, and even death to those who hold different opinions.
There exists a medical protocol called the Liverpool Care Pathway. It was pioneered by the British National Health Service as a means of saving money regarding the treatment of terminal patients. It is widely used in Europe, Canada, and has made inroads in a number of hospices in the U.S. (The NHS claims that it has been "discontinued" but it remains in use under other names.)
What it amounts to, behind the filigree of abstruse medical terminology, is injecting dying patients with large doses of morphine then walking out and closing the door. That’s it, really. Patients are given no water or nourishment, just another morphine shot every few hours to keep ‘em quiet. After a few days

“Rare or not, an excellent argument to employ Optimus robots to provide care.”
They’re only as ‘good’ as who programs them.
i came home a week ago last Thursday.
I have been in the hospital a few times. There is no way I ever discuss or show what my political leanings may be. NO nurse has ever asked, and I never watched news there either.
So how do these harpies know who is supposedly MAGA?
Nurses are a different story, but suffice it to say that the Democrats have split health care into “the honorable and good”, which includes nurses and ‘alternative / non-traditional care givers’ (e.g. naturopaths), vs those that need to be highly regulated etc. - including mostly physicians. Creating divisions in this way is a favorite methodology of the Dems/left.
OK, glad to hear you made it out alive. I hope your recovery from what ales you is going well. I'm still stuck on, 10 days in a 7-day week, hence the groundhog week reference. I was trying to make a funny.
I spent ten days in the hospital last week.
I like some of the things Elon says about his Grok AI. It’s truth based, not political correctness based, which means lots of lies. This matters in important ways.
Be happy if you have a nurse that can even read or type on a computer. Many of these imigrants can’t read. Check all medications before taking
Yeah, I never even turn it on.
No wonder masons had secret handshakes.
I’m starting to think conservatives should too.
Sure, fly the stars and stripes at will, but when entering a hospital or courtroom, perhaps we need a way to identify each other much more discretely so that we know what we are up against or in with.
Start importing nurses from the Philippines. It is a great cultural match to our healthcare needs.
Soon on an episode of The Pitt..
A boorish, injured patient wearing a MAGA hat is wheeled into the trauma center, dies, and the subtext is that he no doubt deserved it.
“I like some of the things Elon says about his Grok AI. It’s truth based, not political correctness”
But what is ‘truth’? Grok claims that the US only funded the “Good Guys” in Syria, but also that these “Good Guys” both worked with the terrorists during the civil war and then immediately joined the government. All supported by ONLY Western news reports (as in CNN).
So much for Grok, since it considers ‘truth’ to be only Western reports, which all we all know is propaganda.
A nurse Ratched is considered evil because she is a sadistic, power-hungry figure who uses psychological manipulation, coercion, and strict routine to dehumanize patients and maintain absolute control over the ward.
aka democrat
In the US, it's called "Comfort Care".
Back in 1990 I had open heart surgery and an artificial valve implanted. I remember the doctor real well.
Saw him again in 2016 and he was talking to a nurse about how great it would be if Hillary would be elected.
I NEVER mention politics when in a doctor’s office since.
Female lawyers in particular. There are some conservatives ones - I was in the same law school Federalist Society Chapter as was Laura Ingraham. The one thing that throws it off is that Republican/conservative lawyers, especially (again) the female ones, tend to be quiet about it because they simply don't want to be ostracized or badgered.
But obviously, some conservative lawyers are open about it. Annoying the leftists was a bonus rather than something to avoid.
Unfortunately everyone is entitled to put voice to their opinion - that is a constitutional right. Putting that opinion in writing and/or social media should put the writer in conflict with their employer’s behavior clauses in the employment contract as grounds for termination.
Unless you’re the one the messed up.
Medical licensing boards need to get really serious about investigating these claims and making examples out of nurses who make care decisions based on politics. No joke. Even if a nurse just goes on line and shoots of her (or his) mouth without acting, they should face some discipline. A nurse is a licensed professional, not a clown. They give care to vulnerable people which may involve life or death situations. Red State governors and legislatures need to make this a priority. I would hope that Blue States would have the maturity and professionalism to stop this BS too.
We are making progress. Back in the Sixties the Beatles could only manage to get a week that was 8 days long.
