Iran has agreed to never have nuclear weapons, President Donald Trump said Thursday, signaling that Tehran has met a key U.S. demand to help end the war.
The conflict has raised global concerns over nuclear proliferation, as Iran’s nuclear program has been a central issue for the president.
“They’ve agreed,” he said. “They will never have a nuclear weapon. They’ve agreed to that.” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.

I have to believe this is a ploy to get the bombing slowed down temporarily.
He mentioned in a discussion today we will be receiving the great gift of oil and gas. Did we just get Kharg Island?
Will anyone make sure that they are not crossing their fingers behind their back when they are promising?
This is negotiating tactics 101...
Winking when you give your word, pounding the table, maybe the mention of your solid word...
If we can trust our politicians (including Trump), why can’t we trust them?
I wonder the people Trump is talking are the same people talking to Fox News 🤔. And how do Fox and Iranian leaders know how to contact each other?
I cannot believe Trump believes that the Iranians will uphold their word.
Muslims in charge of iran are worshippers of satan. They emulate his corruption and evil in all things. Jesus did not call satan the father of all lies for no reason.
Fog of war
Trump has done what he could do with air power. He took out the top leadership and most of the bottom leadership and now the people of Iran need to take over their country. We can only do so much. I think if troops get involved they will be used to take over Kharg Island which I think would be a good move. Any other use of troops will be bad. I don’t think Trump will do that. The other countries over there will have to step up. Why did Saudi Arabia buy those AWACS planes?
I thought this war was supposed to be about no missiles.
Or no enriched uranium for peaceful purposes.
Or freedom for the Iranian people.
Not a pause. The bombing continues.
Deliver all of the uranium of all enrichment levels.
Then start the talks.
But do they agree to all oil sales going through a US dollar account at the Federal Reserve?
You know this thing is almost over when China and Russia both start telling Iran to give it up and Lebanon kicks the Iranian ambassador out and officially designates him persona non grata.
Apparently the Iranians have been begging for talks over the last couple of weeks. My guess is part of the surrender will include our people going in to remove the enriched uranium or degrade it onsite.
I think the 5 days is moving the ultimatum for Strait of Hormuz?
And the Mullahs would never lie!

I don’t care what they’ve agreed to. Their word is worth nothing. Name one agreement they have agreed to with some entity not favored by them in the first place.
They’re a FRICKING KGB CLIENT STATE!! Their words mean NOTHING!
Bomb them back to the Stone Age.
Or better yet. Give enough weapons to UKR to bomb the RUS oil industry back to the peat moss age. Only that will remove RUS’s profit motive to support IRN’s hostility against the West, driving up oil prices to benefit RUS.
the US can not afford this war. The US gross national debt exceeded $39 trillion for the first time in March 2026, and the federal government borrowed $1 trillion in just the first five months of the current fiscal year. The debt has been growing at a rate of roughly $7.2 billion per day, and has increased by nearly $11 trillion over the past five years. Several major government trust funds are approaching insolvency, with the Social Security retirement trust fund projected to run dry by 2032. Why is President Trump spending more on this war? Iran wasn’t really a threat to the mainland USA—to the US troops stationed in the mid east, yes.
“the US can not afford this war. “
We can not afford to not have this war.
“Iran wasn’t really a threat to the mainland USA”
Of course you don’t mind that in a few years they would.
