The Paramount+ 'Star Trek' show will end after its already filmed second season.
So much for Paramount+‘s Gen Z Star Trek show.
The streamer has decided to end Star Trek: Starfleet Academy after season two.
Starfleet Academy had recently finished airing its debut season. Paramount+ had (rather optimistically, as it turned out) already ordered a second season, which recently wrapped production.
Starfleet Academy has been a polarizing entry in the Trek canon. Many critics have celebrated the show for focusing on a younger generation and its coming-of-age themes. On social media, the show has been a frequent target of mockery from those who claim the show is too “woke.”
On Rotten Tomatoes, the show had an 87 percent positive critics score, but a dismal 51 percent audience score.
The show also never managed to chart among Nielsen’s weekly top 10 streaming lists for viewership.
The news comes at a time when there are no longer any Star Trek TV shows in production, though there are two previously filmed seasons of Strange New Worlds that have yet to air.

Same here. Tried watching it on YouTube. So bad that I couldn't finish it.
Run by the Prince and Power of the Air, wavelink.
Nerdrotic and Critical Drinker did some amusing reviews too.
Next Gen’ I remember calling “politically correct” when it was on. “Every show is Halloween on a starship full of college kids,” I remember someone saying about it.
While the third and fourth seasons picked up, Star Trek cooled in my heart as a must-see show. I could miss swaths of supposedly great Trek episodes and not care about it.
The Next Gen’ movies were “meh,” too. Seen once and forgotten.
I kinda liked parts of the “Abrahms-verse/Kelvin timeline” ‘Trek. The ships/aesthetic and core crew were good (Especially Chris Pine’s Kirk and Karl Urban’s McCoy) but not much else.
I care more about Star Trek: The Animated Series (with so many writers and voice talents from the original series) and Star Trek Continues (where dedicated fans fleshed out the original series’ “five year mission” with so much care, dedication, and ingenuity) than anything else they put the words Star Trek in front of.
They made 2 seasons of this garbage before releasing it ,LOL
Meanwhile, the original, the only Captain Kirk, William Shatner, turned 95 years young yesterday.
As he has done his entire life, he is pushing past Frontiers, and boldly going.
William Shatner Announces New All-Star Metal Album Featuring 35 Hand-Picked Metal Icons.
William Shatner is turning the volume up to pain-threshold max.. The legendary actor, author, and cultural icon today announces his latest album - a heavy metal extravaganza powered a veritable army of metal stars—each one personally selected and hand-picked by Shatner to help deliver a project that’s equal parts thunder, theater, and fearless experimentation.
“”I’ve spent a lifetime exploring in both reality and fiction,” said Shatner. “Now I am stepping out into the unknown once again with my new project in heavy metal. I am covering Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden as well as a number of new songs written by my team. The whole project is destined for this year. I hope you will join me in the exploration.””
“”Metal has always been a place where imagination gets loud.””
Turn it up, Jim, turn it up!
I tried watching the Next Gen as I heard it wasn’t too bad. Well I am having trouble getting past the first 3 episodes. First one was a two parter that struck me as a combo of the Tholean web and the squire of gothos with some all powerful being going after the captain and crew judging them again. And the makeup was atrocious with some characters looking like they overdid it with the eyeliner. Third episode the rehashed the naked time. That’s where I stopped. I heard that it got better in later seasons but wanted to understand characters and backgrounds.
then I saw this abomination being released and read about it here and that did it for me.
“…Yeah, but this one goes to Warp 11!”
Star Trek went woke and went broke.
Star Trek ended in 1969.
I’m sure being gay and gender confused would be cured by kinks time. In all seriousness they keep pushing the same gay stuff over and over and nobody wants to see it.
It has a gay Klingon that who wears a skirt and enjoys birdwatching. I’m not joking.

Surely you jest.
There should have been tribbles.

I actually own a tribble. A stuffed toy tribble, of course.
As I was reading this article, I was thinking that the show was like “Glee” in Space. Looks like I wasn’t far off.
Worf would have split him from Stem to Stern with a great Klingon Sword and then it the exact same voice of Spock said, "this does not compute!"
Send in the Tribbles
There have to be Tribbles
Send in the Tribbles
Don’t bother; They’re here
“a gay Klingon that who wears a skirt and enjoys birdwatching.” If Worf had been there, he would have ripped out his esophagus...
