Alleged Iranian spies with ties to regime bigwigs have been charged with infiltrating Silicon Valley.
Last month, a federal grand jury indicted three Iranian software engineers for allegedly stealing trade secrets from tech companies, including Google.
Two of the suspects are sisters, Samaneh Ghandali, 41, and Sorvoor Ghandali, 32. They were charged alongside Mohammadjavad Khosravi,40, who is Samaneh’s husband, with allegedly using their employment at unidentified technology companies to “obtain access to confidential and sensitive information,” according to the Department of Justice.
The tech workers then allegedly “exfiltrated confidential and sensitive documents, including trade secrets related to processor security and cryptography and other technologies, from Google and other technology companies.”
They are then accused of transferring the confidential data to other locations, including Iran, according to the indictment. They have all pleaded not guilty.
The Ghandali sisters’ father is Iranian regime insider Shahabeddin Ghandali, a former chief executive of the Teachers Investment Fund Corporation back in Iran. He was arrested and charged over an embezzlement of $2.5 billion in 2016, and fraud involving Iran’s Bank Sarmayeh, according to reports. Although arrested, it is unclear if he was ever prosecuted in relation to the scheme, as others were.
Opponents of the Iranian regime in the US say that the family connections could have facilitated the alleged spying.

Very simple reason, my lawyer father addressed me as Bobby which is derived from nickname babu. Also when I was naturalized US citizen in 1970, the clerk processing my application form asked me if I wanted any name changes, available at no cost during naturalization. I said yes, change my name to Bobby because no one can remember my Indian name. The clerk writes in Robert! So my official legal name since 1970 has been Robert.
You have benefited immensely as an immigrant yet you seem to want to flood America with cheap labor and put Americans out of jobs. You are nothing but what unions call a scab. Wrong again. I don’t care where the H1-B visa workers come from. Any country is okay so long as it is not official Islamic practicing sharia.
Skilled H1-B workers are a gift to American corporations. They help American businesses stay in America instead of outsourcing work. May be Amazon & Microsoft can do without H1-B workers, but many smaller businesses remain in business due to cheap technical talent.
H1-B workers have lowest crime rates.
Illegals have murdered many innocent Americans.
H1-B workers impose zero burden on tax payers via welfare.
Illegals are a huge burden.
H1-B workers pay all taxes.
Illegals pay very few taxes.
When a corporation stays in business, they keep many Americans employed and pay property taxes and utility taxes.
If their work is outsourced, all that disappears.
Overall H1-B workers benefit American economy. Competition idms life blood of capitalism. I worked in main street American manufacturing for 3 decades and government research lab for one decade. I was able to out compete any foreign workers by acquiring skills in demand and which the foreign workers did not have. During my 4 decades of work career, I was never laid off and never collected a dime in unemployment or any other government benefits. I paid my own money to acquire post-graduate degree in engineering from University of Iowa. My employer deposited me for permanent visa because they appreciated what I could do for the company.
Don’t care. Indians are from an alien culture and Americans are tired of having to accommodate them. If the left keeps trying to push people like you on us, there will be a rebellion and it will not be pretty.
