I wish I had put my emergency bag in the car instead of the closet where it all burned up. I thought I was prepared... I was so wrong.
I hear that...my wife and I thought WE were prepared on September 26, 2024...then Helene came calling the next morning. ALL preps (and house) GONE...ALL of it. Just as yours were burnt up, ours were all washed away.
We keep ours in the van for that very reason.
I keep a get home bag in the truck but our bug out bags are in the van so we can just stuff the cubs and house pets in and go.

Haven’t seen you posting around for a while, but glad to see you.
As for a bugout bag, I really need to set one up again. I carried one in my truck for a while during the plandemic, in case we had to stay at work for a prolonged period of time. But I kind of let that go. You do remind me that I need to be prepared more than I am.
