Christian McCaffrey’s had a football career worthy of Hall of Fame discussion, but his mom might actually hold the honor for most impressive athletic feat in their household. Ed McCaffrey revealed this week that Lisa McCaffrey once clocked a 40-yard dash time that would make even NFL linebackers envious.
SNIP
Ed, 57, explained on the “Side Piece with Melissa Pfeister” podcast that Lisa — a former Stanford soccer player — accomplished the quick sprint nearly three decades ago, when she was trying out for a local sports team while carrying Christian’s younger brother.
“I think Lisa ran a 4.7 while pregnant with Dylan when she tried out for the Valkyries which was the Colorado football team at the time,” Ed, a former Broncos wideout, said. “She did the combine then found out she was pregnant after so she obviously didn’t go out for the team.”

She is closer to her son's 40 time (4.48) than Tom Brady's 5.28. Brady is slower than many 300+ pound lineman, like Ndamukong Suh. (4.98)
The fastest 40 time by a woman was 4.28 by FloJo in 1988. The fastest NFL combine time is 4.21 by Xavier Worthy in 2024.
I wouldn't want to tell my wife I was going on a podcast called "Side Piece."

Her father was Dave Sime who was considered “the world’s fastest human” in the late 1950s. In the 1960 Olympics he won a silver medal in a controversial, photo-finish race. In the 4x100m Relay he ran the anchor leg, with his team initially winning, but they were later disqualified. His dad was “merely” a longtime NFL wide receiver.
He obviously won the genetic lottery.
Fast twitch muscles. I saw the Dave Sime v. Bobby Morrow 100 at the Drake Relays in 1956. Memorable moment.
That was impressive
Why the term "had"? Is he out of football?

I can’t disagree with you there...
Of course, then we have to define “fair fight”!
No.
