If you’ve never experienced liberty before, you don’t know what it is. It’s not the natural state of humanity. Most of human history is riddled with oppression. A fish doesn’t know it’s wet.

Followers of Islam cannot be free. It’s like asking water to not be wet.
Keep it up. Keep pouring cold water, and maybe we’ll just give up and allow Iran to send the nukes.
Sounds like more Iran inspired propaganda to demoralize the US.
What Iran can't do, is to continue exporting terrorism throughout the world and threaten everyone with nuclear holocaust, and create proxy states along with China and Russia in the Central Americas, South America and Caribbean.
End of story.
No they don’t. They want to comfortable care of an all powerful government who gives them just enough to be comfortable for “free.” People sell their would for a little bit of government cheese. Billions wore masks, stayed in doors, and took jabs to show their loyalty to government.
What happened was that we permitted BeijingBiden to be installed.
Like in Vietnam, the Afghan war was won — in that no terrorist org funneling fighters across the Paki border lasted more than a few months. DJT stated that his plan was to gradually withdraw — but, BBiden’s orders were for a full retreat.
As to Iran, The best would be a breakup, at least let the Kurds out on their own. Iran could still have a dominant gov’mt, like in many Arab states. But, getting the religious, pro-terrorists out helps the world.
**the people of Afghanistan never really experienced freedom. The people of Iran still remember what their country was like before the Mullahs took power.**
It wasn’t that good. Just look at how unpopular the Shah was. With the alternative being what they ended up with I would think there’s no sensible middle. There’s gotta be a lotta killing and intimidation for strongman to rule.
**As long as they’re not building nukes and killing infidels. I don’t care what kind of dictator they put in place to keep the muslim crazies from taking over.**
That would require they ALL spend their time working to survive rather than leaving them free to do their nuke work.
Trump's pride caused him to ignore the Marine Corporal Vance's good advice on this.
Maybe his buddy Hillary will help him out.
They could meet and plan in the ballroom.
There isn’t a person alive anywhere that likes to be told what to do.
According to Jeremiah 49, they do... and they will be.
They may very well turn out to be a “more christian” nation than the US is today.
Our main concern is the compete destruction of their nuclear weapons program, which took them decades to build. And the elimination of the civilian and mullah leadership that brought them to this point. And to a lesser extent, the degradation if not elimination of their conventional armed forces.
The rest is up to the Iranian people. All we can do is create favorable conditions.
Iranians do not have to be “free” for the United States to win the Iranian war of 47 years.
That outcome has already been mostly achieved. Some sort of semi-stable government in Iran, which does not have as one of its top priorities, the destruction of the United States, is another very good result and highly likely.
Nonsense. A philosopher once asked how people who have never known freedom know how to crave it. His answer: a desire to have a cessation from pain.
Yeah. That’s why they murdered 30,000 protesters who didn’t want freedom. /s
What if the press is constantly trying to depress everyone?
By the time Biden and his auto-pen were sworn into office, the U.S. military presence in Afghanistan had already lasted longer than our involvement in every declared war since the establishment of the United States of America — COMBINED.
In addition those who had known somne form of freedom under the Shah are experiencing a government that can't even provide for the citizens, so they seek escape for other reasons, such as having food to eat.
The Prince of Persia was certainly not a demon. He was a angelic being put in charge of Persia by God but turned rogue. And it took the help of Michael to handle him.
Fallen angels are not demons.
The Iranian regime has gone to Stalin-level repression. There are reports that over 30,000 Iranian protesters have been killed. The Iranian people are as disarmed as the British. The regime will not be overthrown by unarmed mobs. There are only two ways that the mullahs will be overthrown: (1) if the military defects, or at least a large portion thereof; (2) massive foreign military intervention. The United States, even with Israeli and Saudi assistance, cannot accomplish the latter goal. The best the United States can hope for, as has been stated by President Trump, is the destruction of Iran’s offensive military capability and degradation of their military industrial complex.
Despite their real desire for freedom, I would strongly bet that Iran’s youth will be VERY hesitant to embrace support from the United States and Israel. I would expect this reluctance to persist even when such assistance is framed as a viable path toward achieving their objectives. Probably the ONLY viable path that Iran’s youth have to freedom. However, I doubt they will be willing to accept assistance from the States and Israel.
I could be wrong, and I’m sure you’ll find pockets of those who would take assistance from any source, but I doubt there will be general excitement to help from countries they have been indoctrinated to hate/fear since childhood.
Additionally, while the aerial bombing has been MASSIVELY successful, what that has done is eliminate almost all of Iran’s Air Force and most of its Navy. It has however had basically zero effect on Iran’s (literally) million-man army, and since President Trump is not dumb enough to put boots on the ground, the army will be left untouched. There are also all sorts of secret police, intelligence, and the Basij that oppress the Iranian people and suppress any real movement towards freedom.
With all of those structures remaining in place, it is very doubtful that there will be an ‘Orange revolution’ type of movement that would have solid chances of success, even if the population was ok with help from the States and Israel.
Maybe the best option is to declare victory and disengage. The parts of Iran’s military that contained real threat (ballistic missile program, other advanced programs, their nuclear program) are largely destroyed. The victory is won, unless people still think regime change is possible and all that good stuff that unfortunately results in heartache. With the midterms close, it might be best to declare victory and disengage.
Pretty sure they do...only ignorant savages and Muslims don’t
