Wimp or legitimate phobia....what say you Freepers?

He is a pitcher, so maybe he was concerned about a spider bite on his pitching hand.
Phobia. I hate spiders. Can’t see them bastards. I can deal with snakes. Not spiders.
I would grade on the wimp to legit phobia scale using two factors:
Size of spider and whether that spider ‘looks like’ it could kill you if it bites you.
Part of having money is knowing you don’t have to deal with everything, that you’ve got people for that. So I say neither. He’s rich enough to know a spider in his locker doesn’t have to be his problem, “hey, Jimmy, get somebody to get this spider out of my locker alright”.
The guy has access to baseball bats.

Depends on what kind of spider. Brown Recluse or Black Widow would be a risk but a guy with fast reflexes ought to be able to whack it himself unless it skittered into hiding too fast.
It does sound funny, but maybe he had to be somewhere and had to leave its demise to security.
