Trump says war with Iran will end when ‘I feel it in my bones’

President Trump on Friday said he knows the U.S. military operation in Iran will come to an end when he can “feel it in my bones,” a remark that comes almost two weeks after joint U.S. and Israeli strikes on the Middle Eastern country began.

Trump spoke with Fox News host Brian Kilmeade on his podcast “The Brian Kilmeade Show” and told him, “When it’s over –– and I don’t think it’s going to be long –– when it’s over, this is going to bounce back so fast.”

“When are you going to know when it’s over?” Kilmeade asked.

“When I feel it,” Trump said. “When I feel it in my bones.”

Kilmeade asked if it would be a “joint decision” to end the war. Trump responded by giving praise to Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President Vance.

“I’ve got all good people,” the president added. “We’ve got a great group.”

Trump has floated various timetables for when the operation in Iran could end. He said two days after the initial attack that the offensive could take up to “four to five weeks” or longer.

“This was just an excursion into something that had to be done. We’re getting very close to finishing that too,” he said a week later on Monday at a House Republican retreat in Miami.

Trump also previously told Axios on Wednesday that there was “nothing left” to bomb in Iran, claiming that the U.S. is “way ahead of the timetable.”

“Any time I want it to end, it will end,” he told the outlet.

He later told supporters at a Kentucky rally that same day that Washington “won” in Iran and that the conflict was “over.”

That does seem to be the case. Trump will never be able to get out from Bibi’s shadow and the suspicion of being under the influence of Israel.

Why should he? If the individual members can’t win their elections then they suck.

And idiots like Thune want to lose.

“Nothing left to bomb”, yet Itan seems to be doing just fine with its attacks on Arab neighbors, attacks on shipping, and theeats to unleash untold thousands of drones on various places, including California.

Yeah, war’s over, Iran defeated, and let’s move on to the cartels, Cuba, and Greenland.
I’m sorry but things don’t make a lot of sense right now.
4-D chess and I’m just slow?? Perhaps.
Disclaimer: I support the administration but am baffled. The alternative, the communist Democrats, is unimaginable. I’m stuck with Trump etc.

When you don’t know where you are going, any road will take you there and you can choose at what point the trip has ended.

There is a reason the Constitution requires all wars be declared by Congress. The language of the Constitution is clear. Congress, representing the people approves the war and the goal. The president, as commander in chief of the military, develops and executes the plan to achieve the goal through use of the armed forces. The Founders intentionally did not give the president the authority to take the nation war at any time and any place he chooses.

I can remember when President Lyndon Johnson took the nation to war in order to prevent South Vietnam from being conquered by communist North Vietnam. At one time the US, on the authority of the president, had over 500,000 US troops in Vietnam. After 8 years of war, over 50,000 dead Americans, and over $15 trillion dollars (2025 dollar value), the United States exited without victory. North Vietnam subsequently conquered South Vietnam and today united Vietnam is a communist country. One of the greatest tragedies in our nation’s history.

Then there is the Afghanistan war. . .

The whole world thinks Bibi is the boss of Trump... it’s in media and memes worldwide right now, because, well, if it looks like a duck and walks like a duck... That perception is fueled by realism, not phantom anti-semitism.

Y’all protest loudly when the Left uses “feelings” to justify anything. But you are unable to see your own hypocrisy when it stares you in the face.

I didn’t suggest Trump tell us his plans. I objected to his namby pamby word choice and many of you went berserk and took my words totally out of context.

Always Trumpers (4D chess folks and he can do no wrong) are equally as bad as Never Trumpers.

Whatever. TSTTT. Moving on.

Exactly what the RINOS want. Trump neutered and them in the minority as they enjoy. Give the Dems everything they want because they are Dems.

The United States was defeated in Vietnam by three factors: (1) the failure, until Nixon was up for re-election in 1972, to engage in the bombing of Hanoi, Haiphong, and the supply lines coming in from China; (2) the Communist inspired antiwar protests and the hostility of the prestige press and the news departments of the Big Three networks to the war; (3) the Democratic Congress refusing to fund the South Vietnamese army after America withdrew combat troops.

How so?

The Administration (primarily President Trump and Sec’y Hegseth) have openly shared strategies and (inconsistent) objectives.

To garner popular support, the public has to understand what the goal is. And without support, a long campaign will fail.
