You have a 10 hour flight, which US president are you sitting next to?

Ben Franklin would be the most fun.
But Jefferson might be very interesting.
A wonderfully clever thread.
As long as they promised not to let the plane leave the ground, I’d sit beside Trump. After waves of hysterical excitement, I’d calm down and feel extremely secure if I did choose to nap. Reagan would be too exciting and wouldn’t stop telling stories. Eisenhower’s war stories would be too overwhelming. I know more about the Civil War than WW II. And being beside Lincoln would be too depressing knowing what was in his future/past. George Washington would probably be more scared than I was so he wouldn’t be a big help being on a plane. And Democrats would make me want to wash the seat and not inhale deeply.
Good choice. But for me just above Franklin is Richard Feynman. Actually would love to be a fly on the wall were those two to encounter each other.
Teddy Roosevelt would probably be one of the most interesting Presidents to talk to. Not because I agree with all of his policies, but because he lived such an interesting life and had the mind of a real Renaissance Man. It’s rare to meet an accomplished man of action who also excelled in scholarly, intellectual pursuits.
Nixon. Sports and foreign policy.
IS TSA searching me for weapons?
Silent Cal.
I’d go with TR. Urge him to bring back the bully Great White Fleet.
Publius and political junkie too
You are correct. I confused the Declaration writer(s) with the Constitution. I am old and tired. Things tend to run together at times. Madison is indeed known as the father of the Constitution. Thank you both for the correction.
So it’s from Truth Social but some user π€π€π€
Lincoln. I would try to persuade him to send the slaves back to Africa.
I’d spend the entire 10 hours running back and forth between Clinton and Biden and whacking them repeatedly with my carry on...
Grant... And I’m buying the drinks.
The one on our $100 bill
Don’t forget Son of Satan Barack Hussein Obama...

Not in the picture but you are correct. Include a long and diverse list of American military leaders of WWII. ID LIKE TO KNOW from Nimitz WHY Halsey was not at least relieved for the second hurricane or His phantom carrier chase of Letters Gulf. I’d also like to hear from him why he did not bypass Pelileu when that was recommended. A lot of other decisions are easier to understand.
If I felt well prepared I would like to debate the Navy plan for island hopping vs Mac Arthur’s pathway to the Philippines and beyond. Why Halal pap pan and Indonesian oil was not focused on much earlier. Japan would have been frozen.
In Europe there are strategic questions but much was straight forward notwithstanding Market Garden.
I am with you.
They all have huge egos. None of them would give us the time of day.
Of that group, Trump would be the most fun.
But I would sit in the back and watch. Or just listen to them talk about what they know about space aliens.
Am I in coach? Then I’ll take James Madison. He’s small and I’ll have more space.
