Leave her at the altar! She is “The Bride!,” one of the absolute worst movies I have had the displeasure of watching in this job.

Yegads, this sounds terrible. How hard is it to mess up Frankenstein? But apparently they did it.
Entertaining review, so there’s that at least.
It reads like campy comedy. Mayhap they missed their Mark by [——————————————————————————————this much.......................................................................................................................]
Just think of it as one-quarter of a “Ghostbusters” remake.
Not sure if that makes it one-quarter as bad, or four times as bad, but who’s counting?
Wasn’t on my radar screen, but ... Jessie Buckley in a bad movie? Nothing’s impossible, but I think I’ll watch it before I pan it.
I’m a bit rusty on Brides of Frankenstein. Maybe some freepers can help. Which one is the mark to beat?
I saw the previews for The Bride, and instantly, I knew this movie was not for me. Sometimes, I’m in the mood for horror, mystery, maybe even a little violence, but The Bride seemed stuck in being Grim, Sad, Dark and otherworldly.
If I was in the mood for such a film, The Bride would fill the bill, (the settings, lighting and angles that bring you in close) are very arty and very effective. Visually, it’s a stunning tableux of sustained tension, depictions of what is horrible, over powering and bordering on the Demonic.
So, it was well produced, but just too much for me, a casual movie goer.
I dunno. I saw 15 minutes of “One Battle After Another”.
Completely unwatchable.
I'm thinking of ending things.
“Which (Bride of Frankenstein) is the mark to beat?”
Madelaine Kahn, ‘Young Frankenstein.’ ;)
The last time that Maggie Gyllenhaal did anything remotely good or funny was in the 1990s.
