No need to cry over spilled Tucker Carlson
American thinker ^

His sell by date has expired.

Tucker sees conspiratorial Jewish machinations driving U.S. foreign policy.

Tucker has created a chasm, isolating himself from many of his former fans, me included.

His fall from grace doesn't surprise me. My high note with him was his exposure of John Bolton at a time when we all thought of Bolton as the best sec. of state we never had. Then there are those of us who thought Tucker should be Trump's VP along with one Candace Owens. Let me just say that these wordsmiths can turn on a dime at any time and expose their lack of any core principals. Peoples opinions can evolve but this too often is too obvious. We've seen it with Liz Cheney, Joe Scarboro, John Kasich. Now it's the turn of Join Cornyn. Tom Tillis read the tea leaves. So did a few others as we catch on. My hope is that all Manchurian republicans get exposed before getting elected to anything. Trump wrote books and everyone knew who he was. Elected democrats have to lie about who they are.

Exposed:
John Edwards-thought he could get away with it.
John Kerry-lied about his Viet Nam experience-think Swift Boat Veterans.
Blumenthal-never went there.
Obama-no college recollection by classmates.
Hillary-Cattle futures.

The list goes on and on. Our guys get dealt with.

I liked many things that Tucker Carlson had to say, but I never trusted his sincerity, and would never have supported him if he ran for any office.

You probably remember that when he first hit the scene in the early 2000s (or perhaps late 90s), he was basically a neocon, very friendly to the Bush agenda on just about all issues, but with some pseudo-libertarian rhetoric mixed in. He then transformed himself into a MAGA-style American nationalist, and when that act wore thin he decided to just be provocative for its own sake, latching on to any demented conspiracy theory as long it generates controversy and attention.

Still, a stopped clock is right twice a day. Anyone who thinks that the Israeli lobby, with its vast money and resources, doesn't manipulate US foreign policy is hiding his head in the sand. The problem is that Carlson tries to sell this point in some of the most ridiculous ways imaginable, such as asserting false flag operations with zero evidence (though he's hardly unique in this regard).

He hasn’t been the same since Fox fired him.

Was Tucker caught with a live boy or dead woman in his bed?...odd he has not explained why he turned this particular corner...normally when someone undergoes a change like this they explain it.

The relevant question with any populist is whether they care more about popularity than core principles. It is often exceedingly difficult to figure that out unless/until the mask comes off, which is why I never trust populists.

I always felt confident with a guy like Rush because there were very consistent philosophical principles underlying his stands on various issues. With a lot of populists, that just doesn't exist.

My somewhat liberal daughter told me a few days ago, “I miss Rush Limbaugh. I disagreed with him, but he was honest and didn’t change his views to chase an audience!”

Sigh. I miss him too!

He's just like this guy from SNL, who would say anything just to get people to call in:

"How ’bout this? 'Killing Puppies — It Doesn’t Bother Me' … That’s me, Frank Noland, and I LIKE dead puppies!

Frankly, I’m totally in favor of using federally supported municipal bonds to pay for forced busing of Soviet Communists to come into your homes to kill your puppies! Give me a call, won’t you? The lines are open. Tell ME what you think about it. Dead, mangled puppies… I like ’em …"

Not sure what “fall from grace” means when Tucker’s videos rack up 2 million plus views on YouTube over the course of a few days. But if it makes you guys feel good to imagine that Tucker and his opinions are irrelevant, knock yourselves out.

“Anyone who thinks that the Israeli lobby, with its vast money and resources...”

Seriously? AIPAC spent $50 Million on the 2024 election - out of $15,000 Million spent in total!

50 out of 15,000 doesn’t buy one much influence.

Lesson for all people; do not ever act in a way that you may be compromised. Not saying he is, but given current events, all of our influencers are under suspicion. I will say that I thought his interview with Putin was very interesting and I could’ve watched 6 hours of it.

If it make you think he is relevant that he get 2 million views world wide by bad mouthing Trump, feel free. The rest of us are not that stupid.

Too bad for the click bait clown show, those aren’t US voters.

A part of the problem is the dearth of real news. These shows last an hour and the commentators have to talk to each other just to fill the time. Next thing you know they’re talking about stupid stuff. Too muck click bait on the internet.

Tucker is a Judas to MAGA and the fight against some leftist communists. You have made it clear that you are as well.

A lot of people look at his videos as they would a car wreck as they are driving by. There are also commercially available bot programs that can be employed to increase the count of the number of times a video is viewed. His actual following is probably not more than a fourth of the number of views his videos get.

“odd he has not explained why he turned this particular corner...normally when someone undergoes a change like this they explain it.”

Clicks. Extreme and shocking headlines and lots of commentary by folks criticizing him produces tons of clicks and, therefore, tons of money.

He’s the Howard Stern of podcasts.

Oh please. Israel doesn’t have a lobby on Free Republic. I am pro Israel as I have been most of my life, at least as long as I have had any awareness of geography and politics. I thought they should never have given up any territory in any agreement foisted upon them by whoever was president of America at the time. They won Gaza, the Golan Heights and the Sinai fair and square in a war that they didn’t even start. They have a tiny bit of land on the very edge of a very large landmass and it is scarcely as large as any county in the United States. And yet, they cannot be left alone. The so called Palestinian people were actually Jordanian less than a hundred years ago.
