US troops reportedly told the war in Iran is intended to bring about biblical end times, Armageddon.
As conflict in the Middle East enters its fifth day on Wednesday, American and Israeli officials are pushing rhetoric suggesting that the campaign against Iran is a religious war.
On Tuesday, Muslim civil rights organisation, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), condemned the Pentagon’s use of this rhetoric, deeming it “dangerous” and “anti-Muslim”.
...US watchdog Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) said it has received emailed complaints that US service members were told the war with Iran is meant to “cause Armageddon”, or the biblical “end times”.
An unnamed noncommissioned officer wrote in an email to MRFF that a commander had urged officers “to tell our troops that this was ‘all part of God’s divine plan’ and he specifically referenced numerous citations out of the Book of Revelation referring to Armageddon and the imminent return of Jesus Christ”.
The officer claimed the commander had told the unit that Trump “has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth”.
Israeli and US leaders have also resorted to religious rhetoric in public.

I haven't
Because it is a religious war.

Not exactly coming right from the top.

Sounds like an attempt to create a narrative that doesn’t exist.
Hard to claim it is not a religious war, with Israel, and far more important, all the rich Sunni countries of the region cheering on the killing of Shiites.

I saw the “Armageddon” story yesterday on X — has it been verified?

Personally, I could care less if some are motivated in this fashion. Religion is a strong motive on the Islamic terrorist side. That's sorta why we call their terrorism "Islamic".
Historically, in response to invasions of the Islamic expansion, religion was used to recruit people into the Crusades.
I saw something about it on facebook. I dismissed it as disinformation. That having been said, to call it a religious war is not wrong. Go back to 9/11 and see who started it.
Because it is a religious war from the islsmicists.
No amount of al jizzera lies can cover this up
Plus, billions of dollars of corrupt stealing by the Hamas hezbslkah irani gangsters —- stealing western “aid” plus Obama’s six billion dollar cash deposit
The west has made terrorist murder gangs highly profitable
For some it might be a religious war, but not from the US. We have Islamic allies in this effort, so that tells you that we’re not fighting a religious war.
Total BS.
Not a religious war, but an economic war. Unless, of course, economics IS a religion. Then it becomes a moot point.
Your analysis is extremely superficial.

Christian Zionists like to be thought of as a “driving force.”
The impossibly-named “International Christian Embassy” in Jerusalem, asserts that the modern State of Israel is a direct fulfillment of biblical prophecy and an eternal covenant.
They advocate for unconditional US tax dollar support for Israel, including Jewish settlements in the West Bank, often viewing the nation’s security and expansion using US tax dollars as a divine, eschatological imperative.
They speak of a “Biblical Mandate.”
They believe God’s covenant with Abraham is valid today, promising the land to the Jewish people, which they see as a “blessing” that brings divine favor using billions of US tax dollars.
They view Israel’s establishment in 1948 as a key signal of the “end of times” and US tax dollars as a necessary precursor to the Second Coming of Jesus.
Unconditional Political Support is based on more and more never-ending gargantuan piles of US tax dollars.
They advocate for a strong US-dependent Israel, offering unwavering political backing for Israeli policies toward Palestinians and regional adversaries, and using US tax dollars and massive tranches of US arms intended to protect US families.
Organizations, such as Christians United for Israel (CUFI), need to hear “religious war b/c it “ reinforce their views.
They often position themselves as a vital ally for Israel in the ME, and, besides it keeps billions of US tax dollars blanketing tiny Israel.
Well they wouldn’t be the first officer to claim that God was on our side. (See Washington, Ike, etc)
sigh
Alex, I’ll take things that never happened for $500.
