Israeli forces struck an Iranian Supreme Council gathering on Tuesday as the group was meeting to choose a successor to the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, a senior Israeli official told Fox News.
Fox News' Trey Yingst reported the update on live on Fox on Tuesday morning, saying the move "speaks to the Israeli intelligence about this war."
"They just targeted the meeting in Tehran where what's left of the leadership was gathering to choose a new Supreme Leader," Yingst said.
The U.S. and Israel killed 49 of Iran's most senior leaders in the opening salvo of Operation Epic Fury on Saturday morning, leaving Iran's military fractured and leaderless.

If this turns out to be accurate, the stupidity of the Iranians just has to be Devine intervention.

Westerners have heard about the fact IDF has been downloading traffic data for years. These sand nazi’s may not in fact know this.....
And we haven’t hit them with the hardest blows yet.
By all appearances, this is going extraordinarily well.

Iranian Generals Kicking Themselves For Not Just Meeting Over Zoom

The Babylon Bee warned the Iranians two days ago that they should be only doing ZOOM meetings!!!!!
Zoom/videocon.
“By all appearances, this is going extraordinarily well.”
It certainly looks that way......contrary to what the communist media in this country would have us believe.
This all certainly does feel biblical doesn’t it?
So who’s the todayatollah?
As dangerous as it may be, I wonder what options they have aside from in-person meetings. If they use any form of electronic communication, a missile or bomb is sure to quickly find them. They seem to have taken that lesson to heart following the 12-day war.
This is interesting...

The “Iranian Supreme Council” isn’t an official term, but in this context it likely refers to the Assembly of Experts (Majlis-e Khobregan).
It’s not a government department—it’s an independent 88-member constitutional body of Shia clerics (mujtahids) elected every 8 years by Iranian voters, with candidates vetted by the Guardian Council.
Its purpose: Elect the Supreme Leader (as now, post-Khamenei), supervise him, and dismiss if needed. Meetings like the one reportedly in Qom handle succession votes.
Currently, a 3-person interim council (president, judiciary chief, senior cleric) handles duties until they decide.

It strikes me that in 20 years or so, there are going to be some WONDERFUL documentaries on who inside the Iranian government flipped and started feeding insider info to the IDF. Certainly seems like we are getting WONDERFUL intel.
They might be better off with a not-so supreme leader.
I wonder what the end game is for selecting a new Iranian leader. We don’t want the mullahs or IRGC selecting one. They currently hold all the power so I understand why Israel is disrupting their meetings. We aren’t putting boots on the ground to shepherd in free and fair elections so the idea that some pro-Western prime minister is going to be elected isn’t realistic. I’ve heard Iranians in the West claim that Iranians would accept Reza Pahlavi as head of transitory government but I’m skeptical; he has lived in the West almost all of his life and I’m really not sure how many connections he has in the country. Those arguments sound like the claims that Ahmed Chalabi made about his connections in Iraq that turned out to be completely overblown BS. So what is going to happen? I have no idea. The most likely result is another ayatollah unless the US and Israel pull a rabbit out of their hat.

Well, tbh, the Iranians JUST missed their opportunity to hit most of our ‘leaders’ a week ago.
They could have hit one side of the room without any crying from me.
