Israel’s Operation Lion’s Roar, was “the largest ever military flyover in the history of the Israeli Air Force,” with 500 Iranian targets struck, the IDF said Saturday.
The campaign, which ran in tandem with the US’s Operation Epic Fury, dropped hundreds of munitions on roughly 500 Iranian targets and involved more than 200 Israeli Air Force aircraft.
The military reportedly focused on Tehran’s aerial defense systems and missile launchers.
The strikes “severely degraded the offensive capabilities of the Iranian regime — the launch sites in western Iran,” the IDF said.
“The IDF will continue operating to significantly degrade every aspect of the Iranian regime.”

I assume they could have always taken out Iran’s leadership and the only difference now is that we have a President that didn’t say no to it.

200. Israel's modified F-35's can conduct ops vs. Iran without needing to be refueled in-air, but their F-16's need refueling to get back home safely. Their F-15's can theoretically make it to Tehran and back with maybe 800 miles of cruising speed fuel for ops, but in practice that's cutting things too close.
Those Israeli in-air refueling crews were really busy!

Israel also focused on “decapitation” strikes, destroying command and control systems, while blasting locations where senior leadership operated, including killing the head snake, namely Khomeini himself ...
