TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) - A former nursing home employee has been arrested after allegedly stealing money from over 20 residents, according to Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall.
Marshall’s office says that Tameko H. Green, 52, of Tuscaloosa, was employed as the facility’s financial officer. In that role, she was responsible for maintaining the patient’s trust fund, an account which was used for the residents’ daily needs. She worked there for 18 years.
An investigation was done by the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, after a referral from the Alabama Department of Public Health. That investigation found that between January 2023 and September 2025, Green stole at least $3,500 from 25 residents.
Green is charged with first-degree theft of property, a class B felony which is punishable by two to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $30,000.
Green reportedly surrendered at the Tuscaloosa County Jail on Monday, Feb. 23 and was released on a $5,000 bond.
Tameko
come on now- she was innocently visiting them when a breeze kicked up and blew the money into her purse-
We need to go back to nuns running the hospitals and nursing homes.
Scanned article for a name...

Found what I expected.
“come on now- she was innocently visiting them when a breeze kicked up and blew the money into her purse-”
She didn’t visit them.
whatever- lighten up
Stealing from nursing home residents or hospital patients is nothing new. Happens ALL the time, sadly.

Japanese.
Yep. Nuff’ said.
The worst thieves are the "court appointed guardians" but it is rarity to find a nursing home where there isn't someone stealing from the residents.
In this case, surprisingly, she did not actually steal that much. Known several cases where the thieves had ripped off hundreds of thousands.
It takes a special kind of scum to steal from the elderly the ill and the dying.
“Green had been employed by the facility for 18 years,” Marshall said. “The matter was investigated by the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, after a referral from the Alabama Department of Public Health. The investigation determined that, between January 2023 and September 2025, Green stole at least $3,500 from 25 residents.”
And there will be a hot spot in hell for them.
As we do it to the least of these, Jesus’ brothers.

Loss of your savings can cause a lot of stress and in older people death.
I received this email yesterday from Charles Schwab who I have an account with.
“Review the third parties you have authorized to access your Schwab financial account data”.
My middle sister got access to our parents bank account to help them. Our mom died from a stroke with in the year and 18 months later our dad died after he discovered $108,000 was stolen from his account by his middle daughter leaving him with just $28,000. He died very soon after and the middle sister stole the rest and his pickup truck he paid $27,000 for and tried to cash an insurance policy without notifying the rest of us.
She was forced to split the cost of the truck with the rest of us which she said was $18,000 blue book value, then she wrote a check in full to Ford for the cost of the truck then cancelled the check and hid the truck. Ford called asking where the truck was, eventually they recovered it after several months. She is a thief who caused our father to die from stress.
My dad’s brother after finding out what happened then setup a trust so his kids would not be able to do this. Money was paid out over some years and they equally divided up the money from the sale of the house.
