That's Just Wrong: Meta AI Researcher said OpenClaw Agent ran amok on her inbox

Okay, AI is going to take away all serious jobs, we have to reinvent ourselves with a new life mission that's not totally ridiculous make-work, we'll get perhaps $150 per month "guaranteed" minimal income, live in pod communities like the Coppertops in The Matrix, eat bug-burger, "you'll own nothing and be happy".

But if it's A.I. that is trying to run down this "you will be assimilated, resistance is futile" trope, they'd better get cracking with it.

I use the flavor called "ChatGPT" quite frequently. My assessment, after 100s of sessions, (mostly on computer file installations and configurations), is that AI takes up about 4 initial wrong answers per session before it can even start to give an approximation of reality. Psychotic pronouncements are more the rule than the exception. ("Pope Francis did not die, there never has been a Pope Leo XIV".…"Oh, sorry, you're correct, I've had [sniff, sniff] ANOTHER PSYCHOTIC EPISODE!"). "

So, how do devotees of this new cargo cult respond? By donning Crab Costumes (must have been weaned on SpongeBob SquarePantz) and holding a very important live-stream podcast about … virtually nothing noteworthy past a three minute attention span.

My prescriptions: get one of those $20 Faraday bags that take you completely off the grid, go for long walks with pets and family, and don't take too much notice if the whole online world goes up in smoke, never to return.

Welcome back to the stone age, when people actually did something.

Okay, it’s mostly like going to Jr. College only to realize that it can only confirm what you already knew, the instructor spends 90% of class time trying to catch up the poorest student who never should have been in the class, but at least you have the company of other lost souls.

Like 80% of the people who are developing these major AI systems are Indian/Pakistani/Chinese citizens, brought into the USA to replace Americans. If you are a white male there is no need to apply to these companies. You are discriminated against by default. They are in fact “The Great Replacement Theory” in practice and deed.

Unfortunately you are correct.

Our Govt seems to be complicit in this as well.

the other really cool thing is that these H1B people can then go back to their countries after 10 years of working here and collect max SS benefits.

I went to lunch with a group and they were all talking about how many months they had left before they could go home but still collect full US SS benefits.

Don’t get me wrong, I might do the same if I could go to some other country and get a great salary and have lifelong SS type benefits.

There's a reckoning coming for clown world soon, only it won't be dressed up like a cartoon lobster.

It'll be a 50 foot tall fire breathing dragon, being ridden by a pissed off Charles Bronson from his prime years carrying a nuclear chainsaw made out of rabid grizzly bears and great white sharks with titanium teeth.
