This is a truly Bizarro World story out of deep blue Prince George’s County, Md.
Back in December, some 100 families living in the Marylander Condominiums complex were told they would have to leave their homes because the building was deemed “unfit for human habitation.”
Last week, a Maryland judge signed a final eviction notice, which could leave many of these families homeless.
Why?
Turns out that the complex has been besieged for years by a nearby homeless encampment that is “a haven for gangs, drugs, and prostitutes” and has “vaporized property values and caused millions in damage, scaring away the banks needed to finance repair,” the Washington Free Beacon reports.
But, instead of dealing with the vagrants, the county told residents to “have compassion” for them, while city officials insist that they won’t “criminalize the unhoused.”
Then, after some of these “unhoused” wrecked the building’s boiler and cut off the heat supply this winter, the county decided to evict … the residents.
Who would do such a thing? Well, would it surprise you that everyone on the Prince George’s County Council is a Democrat, and the county voted 86% for Kamala Harris in 2024?
This is the kind of warmth-of-collectivism style of government Democrats provide – wherever and whenever they control the levers of power.

Among the ironies here is that the evicted tenants pay taxes, yet are unserved by their government, while the homeless who do not pay taxes, but siphon away the taxes others pay, are given preference.
Elimination of the middle class and replacing it with people who will never be productive.
I live in MD not far from PG county, trust me those evicted will vote straight blue again, they will not give up on the hope for free stuff. Not to mention the inherent racism of their culture will drive them even deeper blue with a cult mentality.
Exactly the surf class democrats want.
It seems anything bad for the law abiding, upstanding U.S. citizen is good for the Democrat party.

I used to live in the People’s Republic of MD. It’s a shame such a beautiful state is so poorly governed...and has been for decades.

When evicted, can they join the homeless group and then go back and become a free squatter in their old condo?

Sounds like Congress.
How many people being evicted from that building voted for the Democrats who run the state and county? Probably a lot. Will any of them change their voting patterns as a result of being evicted? No. I just had a conversation with a friend last night about this. His mother is a hardcore Democrat living in a Dem-dominated county who is complaining to him that her property taxes have skyrocketed and she is worried that she doesn’t have enough money to live. He tries to be sympathetic but at one point he said something like “you keep voting for the people who raised the taxes.” She immediately went on the attack to defend the county officeholders and attack Trump (as if he had anything to do with county property taxes).
I saw this story a few weeks ago....turns out it’s a 90% Biden-voting area.
The best they probably could have done is find their biggest Karen and send they/them out to scold the homeless camp.
