Same here. No foreign country has anything better than the good ol' USA.
Logic dictates don't waste your time abroad. Mexico is out of the question.

Right there with you. Never had the least desire to go there. Especially after the detention of Our Marine, Andrew Tahmoorisi.
Praying for the safe return of American citizens. I have a few friends who have traveled there more than once. It could have happened to anyone of them. Thankfully,Spring break is not in full swing.

ditto ... and i have little sympathy for those who do go, esp. ex-patriots who choose to live there because “it’s cheaper” ...

Never been myself but I know people who frequent the touristy parts of Mexico and are warned to stay on property or only participate in tours provided by the property. Back in the 1990s, worked for a financial company who did business in Mexico City and the big wigs had armed security while in Mexico.
