I'm posting this because my problem is what Hunt's doing. He's not going to win the primary. What he will do is force a runoff in May putting us all 3 months behind schedule. Cornyn is owed this challenge and should face the primary voters on his own. If Hunt has a future this won't help. He should think of all the resources to be spent and wasted on the runoff. Perry is history. Cornyn will soon be the same but if not then we'll deal with it.

Perhaps Hunt will do the right thing and take himself out after he’s made his point, whatever that is.

Paxton is a dilemma. He should have no problem defeating Jasmine Crocket. But if Talarico somehow wins the Democratic nomination, Paxton could very will be Texas’s version of Roy Moore. Paxton doesn’t just have a skeleton in the closet - he has the whole graveyard!

Not only that it may be Hunt waiting for the nominee(Paxton) to implode so that the GOP elders can choose him over Cornyn. Between those 2 he deserves a chance especially if the opponent is Crockett.

I hope Ken Paxton wins. I can’t say I’m entirely convinced that Texas is conservative enough to field a conservative senator though.

I still think Cornyn scores an upset. I mean, my stomach. An upset stomach. 6 more years of Cornyn. It’s so upsetting to watch the train wreck in real time.

But this is why we have 50 senators and like 2 conservative senators. SMH
