The elites decided to not care about the welfare of the weakest in Britain over personal profits and power. The completely rationalized their actions in regards to it.

It’s the same here, different structures (Federal judges/NGOs here vs permanent civil service there), with the same result - that the Executive here or the Government of the Day there lacks the power (NOT the authority, which remains), but the POWER to do the will of the people.

The biggest criticism that I have of articles about the UK in the conservative press is that they claim that all these authoritarian policies were implemented by Labour. Wrong. Labour is the prime perpetrator but the entire political establishment in the UK went along with it, including the “Conservative” Party. The Malicious Communications Act was passed in 1988 under (I hate to say it), the Thatcher government. It was expanded in 2003 under “New Labour” Tony Blair. The Conservatives were in charge from 2010 though 2024 - 14 years. They did nothing to rein in these laws and there were anti-free speech prosecutions under them. Not nearly as many as under Starmer but it all laid the groundwork for Starmer’s authoritarian overdrive.
This is a global problem. It appears those in the public that care are outnumbered by those that either don’t care, or support it.
yes, the Labour party led the sell-out of UK .. but had some Conservative party elite support along the way. Similar to USA where the Democrappic Party’s central committee and party finances were infiltrated, purchased, and taken over by a small group of foreign and domestic enemies of America....and proceeded to lead the charge to undermine and sell out USA ....with some supposedly conservative Republican party support, co-conspirators along the way. The Islamicization of America lags that of UK by just a few years ... but may well catch up...and both once-great nations will be dragged into servitude.

The US is a state party to the Covenant too. What is being done in the UK could happen here.
Lindsey Graham, Nikki Haley could be punished under clause 1.

The irony, London was the location of “1984”. This is a classic example of rights being slowly eroded. The UK had a rich CULTURE of freedom, but it wasn’t enshrined into a Constitution like ours.
Every “right” they thought they had could have “if’s, and’s, and but’s” added to them.
I was born and raised there, many I know still there can’t believe how things have turned. Their vote doesn’t matter. Islam is becoming bolder by the day, civil war seems unavoidable. The new Restore Party seems like the last shot...Reform isn’t the answer.
It happened when they joined the European Union. Before, they had been on the side that defeated the Nazi German state that had previously governed most of Europe. Getting the United Kingdom into the European Union was the revenge of the Germans.
