WASHINGTON (TNND) — House Intelligence Chairman Rick Crawford is raising concerns about two alleged unauthorized biological lab sites discovered on U.S. soil, one in Reedley, California, and another near Las Vegas, saying the cases raise questions about biosecurity and oversight, according to reporting from Just the News Not the Noise.
The latest development came after federal agents executed a search warrant at a Las Vegas–area vacation rental in early February 2026. Investigators say the property may be connected to an earlier lab discovered in California, prompting renewed scrutiny from lawmakers and federal agencies.

What investigators found in California
The investigation dates back to 2022, when code enforcement officers discovered a lab in Reedley. According to congressional reporting, investigators found thousands of vials labeled with pathogens, including HIV, tuberculosis, malaria, hepatitis, and Ebola , as well as genetically modified mice used in research.
Officials said the facility’s location near homes, a high school, and a water supply raised additional safety concerns.
Who is responsible?
Authorities say the Las Vegas property owner is tied to Jiabei Zhu (also known as David He), who is already in federal custody connected to the Reedley case. Lawmakers, including Crawford, have questioned why a makeshift lab would operate inside a residential Airbnb and whether broader risks were involved.

Well, when the democrats allow millions of unvetted people from all over the world to just walk in, it stands to reason that not all of them are out to find new ways to keep the Ten Commandments, like the democrats claim.
We need to expel all foreigners from china. And, please, don’t invite another 600,000 to “go to our colleges.”
If we’ve found two, while actively NOT looking, how many do you suppose there really are?
