A man helped rescue a pregnant woman from a vehicle in a pond off Interstate 95 in Florida. Hours later, she gave birth to the child.
Logan Hayes had been driving to work near Stuart before 8 a.m. Friday before the Gatlin exit near the weigh station.
"As I was driving by, I saw this car in the pond," he told WPBF.
The vehicle was sinking. He jumped into the cold waters, swam out to the vehicle, and pulled the woman to shore.
Hayes later learned the woman was pregnant.
Martin County Fire Rescue crews arrived minutes later.
The patient was taken to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce with serious injuries.
MCFD divers entered the water to confirm no other occupants were inside and to assist with scene recovery.
Credit to Florida Man!
Wow. This is in the county where I live. Yet the local paper has zilch on it.
Awesome hero!!
Could very well bee.
“Bravo Logan Hayes! I hope Ted Kennedy was watching from Hell.”
LOL! I would like Logan as a senator much more than Teddy.
Logan works for a boy or girl, yes?
;)
She was only 34 weeks pregnant. She was given an emergency C-section. See other articles.
That tiny cutie looks like a “Logan” to me! 😃
The father is quoted in other articles thanking this hero.
So good to read a story that’s good news for once...
You're quite right.
Lol!

Please share. What was she doing driving into a pond
And 34 weeks is advanced
“While not technically “any day now” (which usually refers to 37–40+ weeks), your baby is maturing rapidly, and it is time to prepare, as labor could technically occur earlier than the due date.”
Bravo!!! He’s a real hero! 👏👏👏
Many women work up to their due date, as long as the doctor says it’s okay.
This is a good-news story about a hero who rescued a pregnant woman.
If you want to find more info and quotes, you can do what I did - search for the names.
We had a large gator always sunning on the banks of the large pond. There was a walking trail going around the pond. Whenever I approached the gator on the trail, he/she would calmly slither into the water. There were large sign boards at the pond saying STRICTLY NO FEEDING THE GATORS. If people feed the gators chicken or something, then the gators will associate humans with food and approach humans. Pond gators are not aggressive. They eat mostly fish from the pond. Humans are not natural food, especially adult humans. A toddler wandering near the pond alone is another story.

Really? Is that right? The question is what was she doing driving into a pond.

Ugly story about a guy risking his life for a woman driving around late 3rd trimester driving into a pond. Texting likely

I didn’t say I wanted to know anything more about this story with no husband in the picture. You did. You say there are more stories you can present them if that’s your argument. There are none.
I have encountered gators sunning themselves on banks of ponds several times. Unless a gator has been fed by humans before, they scamper away when approached on land. I would avoid entering the pond for any reason. Because then humans are intruding on their turf and all bets are off.
send this one to furry ...
That local paper has been known as the “stupid Snooze” for decades
