Tapes containing the original, high-quality transmission of the Apollo 11 moon landing were wiped after being quietly shelved in an unmarked storage area by NASA.
While other recordings of the historic 1969 mission survived, the revelation that at least some moon landing video disappeared has fueled wild conspiracies that NASA has been covering up what astronauts saw or even that the whole mission was faked.
Now, the truth about these 'erased' tapes has been revealed by Tim Dodd, better known as the 'Everyday Astronaut' on YouTube, who said the lost footage was only a set of backup magnetic tapes containing the raw transmission from space.
Dodd explained that the backup tapes were considered by NASA to be less critical since all the essential data, video, and radio signals were successfully transmitted to Houston and broadcast live on TV.
The backup copies of Apollo 11's historic mission were mistakenly taped over when NASA reused older magnetic tapes due to a shortage of those specific film reels in the 1970s and 1980s.
Speaking on the Danny Jones Podcast, Dodd said no one at the time anticipated future technology would be able to upscale or enhance the resolution (upres) of the raw footage for better quality, which is now possible today.
However, NASA still possesses thousands of hours of data proving the first moon landing really took place, including lower-quality versions of telemetry data, audio, and video from Houston's recordings.
Dodd added that the space agency also still has shockingly clear 70 millimeter film from the cameras the Apollo astronauts used on the moon, a grade of film that is still used in IMAX movies 57 years later.

You would think they would have an archivist on site to ensure no data is ever lost.
People who think we landed on the moon and filmed it are the same people who think Building 7 killed itself.
I believed both a few years ago... so don’t take it personal buttercup.
Remember great TV shows were taped over, too.
I had a collection of original 1” broadcast tapes from interviews with seminal IBM figures that I used for a documentary I was making. These were of great historical significance and when I took early retirement from IBM Research, I BEGGED the producer to save the tapes. But the tapes were big and cumbersome and I don’t know what happened to my 1” broadcast editing machines. Later I heard that the tapes were erased and taped over. I had been extremely careful to NOT make all the embarrassing stuff public and I’ll bet that fear of that, more than cost or bulk, let them disappear. All that’s left are the window dubs I took away and put up on my site, properly edited, of course. Really tragic.
Anyone who believes we didn’t actually land on the moon has the science acumen of roadkill.

Sounds kinda like what happened to the early Johnny Carson show tapes. A decade’s worth of historic interviews lost because the networks wiped and reused the tapes back then to save money.
To be fair, in my work and personal life, I often delete much that I think is of no value at the time. After the fact, I end up wanting to kick myself for deleting it.
Storage costs are insanely cheap today compared to the past, those magnetic tapes had much more pressure for reuse if the possible future archival value didn’t keep them hands-off. Magnetic backup tapes were destined for re-purpose after their holding period not so long ago, ask anyone in the server realm.
…And the necessary equipment to play them back and faithfully replicate them.

In the short video, it was explained that the information wasn’t lost. It was recorded on other media. Also the television broadcasts still exist. They just over-wrote these particular tapes.
No, that is well funded psyop that is used to discredit people who use their own eyes. The earth is round(ish). I do know people that have been lied to so many times by their government/uniparty/ruling class that they firmly believe the earth is flat. It is an effective psyop and means to discredit otherwise good people who are thinking for themselves.

We can also talk about the fact that virtually every photo from NASA is enhanced in someway. I understand why they do this, but this is not a true representation of what the objects really look like. This would be like doing a CT scan of your heart and then turning that into a color image.
Missing tapes? Nah, they are in storage in a crate next to the Ark Of The Covenant. Didn’t anybody pay attention to the end of that movie?

While we’re guessing, I put it at less than .0000001% chance that thousands of people have kept an enormous secret for 57 years - which would be a first in human history.
Building 7? A grayer area for sure, but also one that wouldn’t require legions of people to keep the secret.
Yep... and could you imagine how bright the sky would be even with the filters...
I recommend you look up the Buzz Aldren videos... he knows the deal... Also look up the video post return from the moon and look at the Astronauts faces when they brought them out of “Quarantine”. No animosity on my part... I just figured out a few years ago... and I have been to 60,000 feet in an F-15... The world is round... the moon landing is a whole different story.
But hey, we beat back communism and bankrupted the Soviet Union so... take the W. (The compromised pedophile cult at least did something good)
