Realistically, it isn’t possible. Too big, too many classified and black areas, and the money flows are too complex in and complex out.

An audit is probably impossible... unless of course Elon is allowed free reign to do so.

Exactly. They will allow the audit to how many ships were built and overhauled, how much was spent on food and fuel and spare parts and other logistics, but it would be extremely easy to hide a few hundred million here and a few billion there with no one the wiser. Top secret projects and development cost overruns are impossible to audit.

Maybe they could skip over the audit for now, and redesign their budget system and their contracting system so that in the future, real audits could be done without so much difficulty.

Government record keeping — especially financial records — could be greatly improved.
