They only need 50 votes. Vance will be tie breaker. With a so called “ Standing Filibuster” you only need a simple majority.

People who make a cottage industry of whining about Collins lack perspective.

She has been senator since 1997. We all know about her.

We also know she voted to convict Trump. Guess what? She represents Maine. A blue state.

Have you noticed Trump says little to nothing about Collins. Have you noticed Trump is not primarying her? Have you noticed Trump basically leaves her alone.

Why? Because he knows Collins is preferred to a democrat. And Trump knows in a state as blue as Maine, Collins is the best outcome from Maine. Why? Because she almost always votes with the republicans for procedural votes in the Senate and votes 90%+ with Trump.

Trump leaves her alone because he knows a senator voting with him 90%+ of the time is better than a senator who votes with him 0% (zero) of the time.

It’s no more complicated than that. Give it a rest.

Aaahhh, but you see, purity is demanded. Any deviation, regardless of how small is grounds for total desertion.

My way or the highway. That’s what purists always insist on.

Purist?
This woman says no to almost every important vote until she says yes. Now she’s saying absolutely no and people on this thread say she does so until she gets the right amount of payment.

Explain why she says no to everything and why she want a to be the last deciding vote yet again and this time on allowing no voter ID or save it

We know what she is, now we’re just haggling over price.
