And hey, if we can pick up the island on the cheap, Secretary of State Marco Rubio might want to don a seersucker suit and start a new gig as the territorial governor and enjoy presiding over a revitalized Havana.
It's worth putting out there just to annoy the lefties.

Gonna be awesome if it plays out.
Quite.

I have to the USA.no doubt in my mind at all that Marco will be appointed transitional governor of Cuba. All Cuba has to do is surrender to the USA.
Lets see what happens.
“We’re bigger than US Steel”
wow, is Michael wearing weejuns?
Le Petomane was the role model for Joe Biden.
What’s one more hat?
All that unused labor doing nothing. That’s socialism.
It’s a nice idea but I kind of like Rubio exactly where he is.
I don’t see him as administrative leader but for carrying out policy he’s awesome.
Give a free Cuba a few years to sort things out, then admit them as two or three new states, along with admission for the much smaller Puerto Rico if necessary.
I like the vibes:

“They call me Cuban Marco...”
Agreed.
The Havana family estate of a co-worker was stolen and is now an embassy for some country. I’d love to see someone like him become repatriated and run the Island.
I don't know about weejuns, but I still have and occasionally wear a pair of Florsheim Royal Imperials {made from Kangaroo leather} that look a lot like the "loafers" that Michael had on in the movie.
Those "boots" cost me about $225 back in the 90s, and they still look and feel that they were worth every penny.
BTW, it cost me $150 to have new soles and heels put on them about 5-6 years ago.
They look like Weejuns. The cool thing used to be to wear them with no socks. Not sure what is ‘cool’ these days.
