The House of Representatives passed a massive election integrity overhaul bill on Wednesday despite opposition from the vast majority of Democrats.
The House passed Rep. Chip Roy's SAVE America Act, legislation that's aimed at keeping non-citizens from voting in U.S. federal elections. All but one House Democrat — Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas — voted against the bill. It passed 218 to 213.
It is an updated version of the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, also led by Roy, R-Texas, which passed the House in April 2025 but was never taken up in the Senate.
Whereas the SAVE Act would create a new federal proof of citizenship mandate in the voter registration process and impose requirements for states to keep their rolls clear of ineligible voters, the updated bill would also require photo ID to vote in any federal elections.
It would also require information-sharing between state election officials and federal authorities in verifying citizenship on current voter rolls and enable the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to pursue immigration cases if non-citizens were found to be listed as eligible to vote.
Democrats have attacked the bill as tantamount to voter suppression, while Republicans argue that it's necessary after the influx of millions of illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. during the four years of the Biden administration.
"If we want to rebuild confidence again in American elections, we need to pass the SAVE Act," Rep. Mike Haridopolos, R-Fla., told Fox News Digital. "What better way to eliminate that distrust than to make sure that whoever votes in an American citizen who is truly eligible to vote?"
House Minority Whip Katherine Clark, D-Mass., accused Republicans of trying to make it harder for women to vote. She argued that the legislation would make it more difficult for married women to...

Thank you very much and God bless you,

So we traded Massie for Cuellar?
Thune probably won’t even put on the Senate floor.
It’s Dead Jim.
The world is laughing at us.
How do I prove citizenship? Real ID is issued to people with green cards, so you can’t use that. If the born in America citizenship law is successfully challenged you can’t use a birth certificate.
If you mean that America will have illegal aliens along with the photo scanning of every Americans’ retinas, I think you are right.
Submitting to more intrusion, while being a$$-raped is definitely the answer. /s
The Federal Government will NEVER deport illegal aliens.
“House Minority Whip Katherine Clark, D-Mass., accused Republicans of trying to make it harder for women to vote. She argued that the legislation would make it more difficult for married women to”...vote because birth certificate would have different name.
> It’s Dead Jim. <
Yep. And even if Thune puts on the Senate floor, the Democrats will threaten a filibuster. Then the GOP will fold.
End of story.
Then our country is over. It just took its last gasp.
“””How do I prove citizenship? Real ID is issued to people with green cards, so you can’t use that.””””
I guess you got a Real ID without showing proof of citizenship.
I brought my passport to the DMV and my REAL ID has a gold star on it indicating US Citizenship.
There are 53 Republican senators, 45 Democratic senators, and two independent senators who caucus with the Democrats. So we supposedly have the advantage. Unfortunately many Republicans are RINOs so you are correct - it will probably never see the Senate floor. I’d be shocked if it did.
Yup
Well, at least they are consistent. On another subject, by a 220-210 margin, the House of Representatives passed the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, with only one Democrat voting in favor. So, with only one exception these Democrat legislators established a line for defense of abortion within their party that included those born alive despite attempted abortion.
We held out waiting for a peaceful solution with the rules and obeying the laws which were stacked against us.
Now it's time to fold our hands and quietly watch those demons like the smirking twerp Shri Thanedar, the arrogant Eric Swalwell, the jive talking Jasmine Crockett, the self absorbed future President Gavin Newsom, Bernie, AOC, Elizabeth Warren, the Black Caucus and the rest of the group, take full charge of fundamentally transforming the US into a Chinese Communist Province as they systematically hunt us all down.
Or not.
Truth.
He blasted well better on the Senate floor. And much as I hate to say it, the filibuster needs to be put aside in favor of this vote. It needs to pass and get to Trump’s desk for signature.
I’m watching for confirmation that GA elections do not conform to US election law because they allow electronic display devices in place of punch-cards or paper ballot. So no paper ballots in fed elections. Why are GA CongressCritters even allowed in the building?
and it proves Massie needs to be primaried and out of the GOP.
What has happened to Massie? He seems totally compromised. Kompromat?
“So we traded Massie for Cuellar?”
Yes we did. However, Cuéllar represents a district in west Texas that has been overrun with illegals. It’s a very conservative farming district of the state.
