Green Day have changed the lyrics to two of their most famous songs ahead of the band's upcoming Super Bowl performance.
Green Day, comprising Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool, will perform at the Super Bowl's opening ceremony show on Sunday, February 8.
The Grammy Award-winning band, which has outwardly condemned Donald Trump in the past, will be singing a number of their biggest hits as the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots prepare to take the field at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Following the American Idiot's hitmakers' performance, Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny will perform, in what seems to be the Super Bowl's most divisive Half-Time Show to date.
Prior to football's biggest event of the year, Green Day attended Spotify's The Fanduel Party at Pier 29 in San Francisco on Friday, February 6, where they performed several of their most well-known songs.
However, the band used their show to share political messages by changing the lyrics to two of their biggest hits.

When they first hit the scene, we were watching videos and they came on with the opening line, “Do you have the time to listen to me whine?”. Without missing a beat, my friend said, “Nope!” and changed the channel.
Greenday’s publicist’s been busy trying to justify the $12.32 he bills the band quarterly by shopping this account of tiresomely predictable antics by self-important has-beens desperately trying to acquire a sheen of relevance to fluff up their threadbare public image. Ho hum.
Well, like so many in the entertainment business, the guys of Green Day feel the need to bend over backwards to demonstrate disdain for Trump. OK then......

Some may listen to them if they have the time to listen to them whine.
Musicians, artists and actors are generally sheep and pander to the collective group think. No more rebellion or anti-establishment like there was in the 1960s because democrats ARE the establishment.
