The Rangueil Accident and Emergency unit in Toulouse was evacuated after doctors found “an eight-inch-long live World War I artillery shell in…[a man’s] rectum,” according to the Daily Mail.
The Daily Mail quoted “an investigating source” who indicated that the patient, a 24-year-old man, “…was in a state of extreme discomfort, having inserted a large object up his rectum.”
Because the artillery shell was not inert, “bomb disposal experts” were called in, as was the fire brigade.
The New York Post noted that “a security perimeter” was set around the medical facility while the artillery shell was being handled.

It is beginning to look as if the Democrats have been able to achieve everything they had on their list. ICE and CBP are drawing down from Minneapolis under pressure from protesters encouraged by Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison. They win.
Congressional Democrats are getting ICE defunded, probably in perpetuity, according to Politico. Federal smurf Lilliputian judges are requiring that the Feds employ no non-lethal crowd controls such as tear gas in riotous cities hosting Soros-funded anti-Federal agitation. They win.
Congress is imposing crippling requirements for deportations which make the process impossible to conduct, such as requiring judicial hearings prior to any deportation actions. With ICE defunded and defanged, they win.
And every bit of this capitulation of the Trump Administration & the MAGA agenda, is taking place, not because the Democrats have the power, but because RINOs are siding with the Democrats against the Trump Administration and the MAGA movement.
These RINOs comprise a Fifth Column, turning over to the minority party all power to veto, cancel and defund every initiative the American public voted overwhelmingly for in November, 2024. Damn RINOs have surrendered the United States of America to its enemies who are dedicated to total demolition of the United States Constitution and our Republic.
There is no longer any need to “VOTE DEMOCRAT !!” Elected Republicans are serving as minions of the Democrat Party at every level. Republicans who have engineered the Democrat Party seizure of our national way of life are the enemy within.

Where would one find a WWI live 8” shell (will have to look up which side it came from) other than on a currently still being search by EOD specialists for surviving rounds. To this day— still there around Paschendale. This entire story is beyond weird— the hysteria needed to introduce such an object is beyond knowledge. There is no follow up news report— so one assumes removal was safely successful. Those old rounds may already have been duds— but who would know such things at this point. Just crazy situation. Physician would step out if they had any sense at all. I married a nurse and spent much time around nurses who were always a store of ribald hospital tales involving doctors and nurses in closets and such, and at a Christmas Party many, many years ago a nurse told an anecdote from her time in the ER.
She told us that one evening she was walking by a lightbox in the ER with a bunch of nurses around looking at an abdominal xray and she walked over to see what they were animatedly looking at thinking it might be something unusual, and it was an abdominal X-ray and the shape of what was clearly a vibrator was seen.
One can imagine that was a topic of interest, and as she edged closer to look, one of the younger nurses said “How on earth did that man swallow that?”
She said that all the other nurses turned their heads slowly to look at that young nurse, before they all fell apart laughing!
I never knew if that was true or not and wondered if it was an “urban legend”, but that nurse certainly told it like was true.
As a former cop who had to interact with hospital ER personnel, I’ve heard it all.
There is a reason that most “gayborhoods” are located in or very close to hospital districts. They have constant need of them.
