Any “...of the year” award recipient is suspect. If they are teachers, they are likely to be kiddy diddlers. If they deal with money, they are likely grifting off a bunch of it. etc.
The big problem that terrifies me is that Washington Democrats are completely unaccountable, given that Virginia will elect an attorney general who openly desires seeing mothers watching their children slaughtered for his own political gain.
The only hope is to get regulations (probably requiring legislation unfortunately) moving DC crimes away from the DC jury pool.
Prosecutors should not go for jail time. That makes them icons. They should go for large fines and confiscations.
